- Father: Pippin II VON HERSTAL Maior Domus
- Mother: Chalpaida
- Birth: ABT 670, Austrasien
- Also known as: Duc Drogo de Bourgogne-Champagne
- Title Of Nobility: Mayor of the Palace, 695, Burgundy
- LifeSketch: Drogo (c.675 – 708) was a Frankish nobleman, the eldest son of Pippin of Heristal and Plectrude. He was the duke of Champagne from the early 690s. Drogo was born shortly after his parents' marriage, which probably took place in 675 or just after. In the early 680s, Pippin arranged the marriage of Drogo with Anstrudis (or Adaltrudis), the daughter of Waratto, the mayor of the palace in Neustria, and his wife Ansfledis. The marriage took place toward the end of the decade or in the early 690s. Drogo and Anstrudis had four sons: Arnulf, who succeeded him as duke of Champagne; Hugh, who entered the church and rose to become an archbishop; Gotfrid; and Pippin. The marriage of Drogo and Anstrudis increased his father Pippin's influence in Neustria. Waratto's family properties were located mainly in the vicinity of Rouen. Drogo, however, was made duke in Champagne, a frontier region between Neustria and Austrasia. His power in Champagne was enhanced through his control of the monastery of Montier-en-Der and possibly the monastery of Hautvillers. The Liber Historiae Francorum, a history of the Franks written in Neustria in 727, portrays the Austrasian Drogo as sympathetic to the Neustrians because of his marital connections. He did, however, fall foul of the abbey of Saint-Denis, which sued him in the king's court in a property dispute. King Childebert III ruled in Saint-Denis's favour. Drogo also lost a lawsuit over the villa of Noisy-sur-Oise with the monastery of Tussonval in 697. Drogo predeceased his father, dying in 707, according to the Gesta abbatum Fontanellensium, or in 708, according to most of the annals. He was buried in the church of Saint Arnulf at Metz, to which his four sons made a grant of land in his honour in June 715. The Annales Mettenses record that Grimoald succeeded Drogo in all his offices, but in fact his son Arnulf succeeded him as duke. The death of Drogo was perceived by later generations as a pivotal event in the history of the Carolingian dynasty. Several of the imperial annals written in the late eighth century begin their year-by-year accounts with 708. These include the Annales Alamannici, Annales Nazariani and Annales Laureshamenses.

- LifeSketch: Ealhswith or Ealswitha (died 5 December 902) was the wife of King Alfred the Great. Her father was a Mercian nobleman, Æthelred Mucel, Ealdorman of the Gaini, which is thought to be an old Mercian tribal group. Her mother was Eadburh, a member of the Mercian royal family, and according to the historian Cyril Hart she was a descendant of King Coenwulf of Mercia. She is commemorated as a saint in the Christian East and the West on 20 July. She married Alfred in 868 at what is now Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. His elder brother Æthelred was then king, and Alfred was regarded as heir apparent. Alfred and Ealhswith had five children who survived to adulthood: Æthelflæd (d. 918), Lady of the Mercians, married Æthelred, Lord of the Mercians Edward the Elder (d. 924), King of the Anglo-Saxons Æthelgifu, made abbess of her foundation at Shaftesbury by her father Ælfthryth, Countess of Flanders (d. 929), married Baldwin II, Count of Flanders Æthelweard (d. c. 920) Alfred became king in 871, after the death of his older brother Æthelred I. Although Ealhswith was the wife of the king she was never given the title of queen, this was in accordance with ninth century West Saxon custom, and Ealhswith did not witness any known charters. Ealhswith appears to have had a strong religious influence upon her husband and time. Upon his death, Alfred left his wife three important symbolic estates in his will: Edington in Wiltshire, the site of one important victory over the Vikings, Lambourn in Berkshire, which was near another, and Wantage, his birthplace. These properties all stayed in royal possession after her death. Alfred and Ealhswith intended to build a great New Minster in Winchester, Hampshire, adjacent to and replacing the 'Old Minster', however, at the time of Alfred's death in 899 all that had been started was the Benedictine nunnery of Nunnaminster, also known as St Mary's Abbey. After her husbands death, Ealhswith retired there and dedicated herself to religious pursuits until her death there on 5 December 902. Her son Edward the Elder completed Nunnaminster and built the New Minster, according to his parents plans. Nunnaminster was adjacent to the New Minster in the same immense churchyard as the Old Minster, and it was here that Ealhswith was buried. She is commemorated in two early tenth century manuscripts as "the true and dear lady of the English". And is honored as a saint in the Christian East and the West on 20 July.

- LifeSketch: Edward II (25 April 1284 – 21 September 1327), also called Edward of Caernarfon, was king of England from 1307 until he was deposed in January 1327. The fourth son of Edward I, Edward became heir apparent to the throne following the death of his elder brother Alphonso. Beginning in 1300, Edward accompanied his father on campaigns to pacify Scotland. In 1306, he was knighted in a grand ceremony at Westminster Abbey. Following his father's death, Edward succeeded to the throne in 1307. He married Isabella, daughter of the powerful King Philip IV of France, in 1308, as part of a long-running effort to resolve tensions between the English and French crowns. Edward had a close and controversial relationship with Piers Gaveston, who had joined his household in 1300. The precise nature of their relationship is uncertain; they may have been friends, lovers, or sworn brothers. Edward's relationship with Gaveston inspired Christopher Marlowe's 1592 play Edward II, along with other plays, films, novels, and media. Gaveston's power as Edward's favourite provoked discontent both among the barons and the French royal family, and Edward was forced to exile him. On Gaveston's return, the barons pressured the king into agreeing to wide-ranging reforms, called the Ordinances of 1311. The newly empowered barons banished Gaveston, to which Edward responded by revoking the reforms and recalling his favourite. Led by Edward's cousin, Thomas, 2nd Earl of Lancaster, a group of the barons seized and executed Gaveston in 1312, beginning several years of armed confrontation. English forces were pushed back in Scotland, where Edward was decisively defeated by Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. Widespread famine followed, and criticism of the king's reign mounted. The Despenser family, in particular Hugh Despenser the Younger, became close friends and advisers to Edward, but Lancaster and many of the barons seized the Despensers' lands in 1321, and forced the king to exile them. In response, Edward led a short military campaign, capturing and executing Lancaster. Edward and the Despensers strengthened their grip on power, formally revoking the 1311 reforms, executing their enemies and confiscating estates. Unable to make progress in Scotland, Edward finally signed a truce with Robert. Opposition to the regime grew, and when Isabella was sent to France to negotiate a peace treaty in 1325, she turned against Edward and refused to return. Instead, she allied herself with the exiled Roger Mortimer, and invaded England with a small army in 1326. Edward's regime collapsed and he fled to Wales, where he was captured in November. The king was forced to relinquish his crown in January 1327 in favour of his 14-year-old son, Edward III, and he died in Berkeley Castle on 21 September, probably murdered on the orders of the new regime. ... Issue Edward II had four children with Isabella: 1. Edward III of England (13 November 1312 – 21 June 1377). Married Philippa of Hainault on 24 January 1328 and had issue. 2. John of Eltham (15 August 1316 – 13 September 1336). Never married. No issue. 3. Eleanor of Woodstock (18 June 1318 – 22 April 1355). Married Reinoud II of Guelders in May 1332 and had issue. 4. Joan of the Tower (5 July 1321 – 7 September 1362). Married David II of Scotland on 17 July 1328 and became Queen of Scots, but had no issue. Edward also fathered the illegitimate Adam FitzRoy (c. 1307–1322), who accompanied his father in the Scottish campaigns of 1322 and died shortly afterwards. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_II_of_England ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Timeline for King Edward II: 1307 Edward II accedes to the throne on the death of his father, Edward I. 1308 Edward’s favourite, Piers Gaveston, is exiled for misgovernment. 1309 Gaveston returns from exile in France. 1310 Parliament sets up a committee of Lords Ordainers to control the King and improve administration. The King’s cousin, Thomas, Earl of Lancaster, takes control 1312 Piers Gaveston is kidnapped by the King’s opponents and is put to death. 1314 Edward and the English army are defeated at the Battle of Bannockburn by Robert Bruce. Scottish independence is assured 1320 Welsh border barons, father and son, both named Hugh Despenser, gain the King’s favour, 1320 The Scots assert their independence by signing the Declaration of Arbroath 1322 Barons’ rebellion, led by Thomas, Earl of Lancaster, is crushed at the Battle of Boroughbridge in Yorkshire. 1326 Edward’s wife, Isabella, abandons him and with her lover, Mortimer, seizes power and deposes Edward. The Despensers are both put to death. 1327 Edward is formally deposed by Parliament in favour of Edward III, and is possibly murdered in Berkeley Castle on the orders of his wife, Isabella.

- LifeSketch: Edward III (13 November 1312 – 21 June 1377), also known as Edward of Windsor before his accession, was King of England and Lord of Ireland from January 1327 until his death. He is noted for his military success and for restoring royal authority after the disastrous and unorthodox reign of his father, Edward II. Edward III transformed the Kingdom of England into one of the most formidable military powers in Europe. His fifty-year reign was the second-longest in medieval English history, and saw vital developments in legislation and government, in particular the evolution of the English Parliament, as well as the ravages of the Black Death. He outlived his eldest son, Edward the Black Prince, and the throne passed to his grandson, Richard II. Edward was crowned at age fourteen after his father was deposed by his mother, Isabella of France, and her lover Roger Mortimer. At age seventeen he led a successful coup d'état against Mortimer, the de facto ruler of the country, and began his personal reign. After a successful campaign in Scotland he declared himself rightful heir to the French throne in 1337. This started what became known as the Hundred Years' War. Following some initial setbacks, this first phase of the war went exceptionally well for England; victories at Crécy and Poitiers led to the highly favourable Treaty of Brétigny, in which England made territorial gains, and Edward renounced his claim to the French throne. This phase would become known as the Edwardian War. Edward's later years were marked by international failure and domestic strife, largely as a result of his inactivity and poor health. Edward was a temperamental man but capable of unusual clemency. He was in many ways a conventional king whose main interest was warfare. Admired in his own time and for centuries after, he was denounced as an irresponsible adventurer by later Whig historians such as Bishop William Stubbs, but modern historians credit him with some significant achievements. Early life Edward was born at Windsor Castle on 13 November 1312, an was often called Edward of Windsor in his early years. The reign of his father, Edward II, was a particularly problematic period of English history. One source of contention was the king's inactivity, and repeated failure, in the ongoing war with Scotland. Another controversial issue was the king's exclusive patronage of a small group of royal favourites. The birth of a male heir in 1312 temporarily improved Edward II's position in relation to the baronial opposition. To bolster further the independent prestige of the young prince, the king had him created Earl of Chester at only twelve days of age. In 1325, Edward II was faced with a demand from his brother-in-law, Charles IV of France, to perform homage for the English Duchy of Aquitaine.[10] Edward was reluctant to leave the country, as discontent was once again brewing domestically, particularly over his relationship with the favourite Hugh Despenser the Younger. Instead, he had his son Edward created Duke of Aquitaine in his place and sent him to France to perform the homage. The young Edward was accompanied by his mother Isabella, who was the sister of King Charles, and was meant to negotiate a peace treaty with the French. While in France, Isabella conspired with the exiled Roger Mortimer to have Edward deposed. To build up diplomatic and military support for the venture, Isabella had her son engaged to the twelve-year-old Philippa of Hainault. An invasion of England was launched and Edward II's forces deserted him completely. Isabella and Mortimer summoned a parliament, and the king was forced to relinquish the throne to his son, who was proclaimed king in London on 25 January 1327. The new king was crowned as Edward III at Westminster Abbey on 1 February at the age of 14. ... Sons 1. Edward the Black Prince (1330-1376), eldest son and heir apparent, born at Woodstock Palace, Oxfordshire. He predeceased his father, having in 1361 married his cousin Joan, Countess of Kent, by whom he had issue King Richard II; 2. William of Hatfield (1337-1337), second son, born at Hatfield, South Yorkshire, died shortly after birth and was buried in York Minster; 3. Lionel of Antwerp, 1st Duke of Clarence (1338-1368), third son (second surviving son), born at Antwerp in the Duchy of Brabant, where his father was based during his negotiations with Jacob van Artevelde.[126] In 1352 he married firstly Elizabeth de Burgh, 4th Countess of Ulster, without male issue, but his female issue were the senior royal ancestors of the Yorkist King Edward IV, and it was his descent from the Duke of Clarence on which he based his claim to the throne, not on his direct paternal descent from the 1st Duke of York, a more junior line. Secondly, in 1368, he married Violante Visconti, without issue. 4. John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster (1340-1399), fourth son (third surviving son), born at "Gaunt" (now Ghent) in the County of Flanders, which city was an important buyer of English wool, then the foundation of English prosperity. In 1359 he married firstly his distant cousin the great heiress Blanche of Lancaster, descended from the 1st Earl of Lancaster, a younger son of King Henry III. By Blanche he had issue Henry of Bolingbroke, who became King Henry IV, having seized the throne from his first cousin King Richard II. In 1371 he married secondly the Infanta Constance of Castile, by whom he had issue. In 1396 he married thirdly his mistress Katherine Swynford, by whom he had produced illegitimate issue later legitimised as the House of Beaufort. The illegitimate son of Henry Beaufort, 3rd Duke of Somerset (1436-1464) was Charles, who adopted the surname "Somerset" (Charles Somerset, 1st Earl of Worcester) and is the ancestor of today's Henry Somerset, 12th Duke of Beaufort (born 1952) of Badminton House, Gloucestershire. 5. Edmund of Langley, 1st Duke of York (1341-1402), fifth son (fourth surviving son), born at Kings Langley Palace, Hertfordshire. He married firstly the Infanta Isabella of Castile, by whom he had issue, sister of the Infanta Constance of Castile, second wife of his elder brother John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster. Secondly in 1392 he married his second cousin Joan Holland, without issue. His great-grandson (the 4th Duke of York) became King Edward IV in 1461, having deposed his third cousin the Lancastrian King Henry VI, great-grandson of John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster. The son of Edward IV's daughter Elizabeth of York was King Henry VIII, from whose sister (via several female lines) is descended the present Queen Elizabeth II. 6. Thomas of Windsor(1347-1348), sixth son, born at Windsor Castle, died in infancy of the plague and was buried at King's Langley Priory, Hertfordshire; 7. William of Windsor (1348-1348), seventh son, born before 24 June 1348 at Windsor Castle, died in infancy before 5 September 1348, buried in Westminster Abbey; 8. Thomas of Woodstock, 1st Duke of Gloucester (1355-1397), eighth son (fifth surviving son), born at Woodstock Palace in Oxfordshire; in 1376 he married Eleanor de Bohun, by whom he had issue. His eventual heir was the Bourchier family, Earls of Bath, of Tawstock in Devon, today represented by the Wrey baronets, who quarter the arms of Thomas of Woodstock[128] and continue as lords of the manor of Tawstock. Daughters 9. Isabella of England (1332-1379/82), born at Woodstock Palace, Oxfordshire, in 1365 married Enguerrand VII de Coucy, 1st Earl of Bedford, by whom she had issue; 10. Joan of England (1333/4-1348), born in the Tower of London; she was betrothed to Peter of Castile but died of the black death en route to Castile before the marriage could take place. Peter's two daughters from his union with María de Padilla married Joan's younger brothers John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster and Edmund of Langley, 1st Duke of York. 11. Blanche (1342-1342), born in the Tower of London, died shortly after birth and was buried in Westminster Abbey. 12. Mary of Waltham (1344-1361), born at Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire; in 1361 she married John IV, Duke of Brittany, without issue; 13. Margaret (Countess of Pembroke) (1346-1361), born at Windsor Castle; in 1359 she married John Hastings, 2nd Earl of Pembroke, without issue;

- The Readeption of Henry VI: The restoration of Henry VI of England to the throne of England in 1470.[1] Edward, Duke of York, had taken the throne as Edward IV in 1461. Henry had fled with some Lancastrian supporters and spent much of the next few years in hiding in the north of England or in Scotland, where there was still some Lancastrian support. Henry was captured in 1465 and was held as a prisoner in the Tower of London. Following dissent with his former key supporter, Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick, Edward was forced to flee in 1470. Henry was then restored to the throne, 1470, Westminster, Middlesex, England

- LifeSketch: Edward IV (28 April 1442 – 9 April 1483) was King of England from 4 March 1461 to 3 October 1470,[1] then again from 11 April 1471 until his death in 1483. He was a central figure in the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars in England fought between the Yorkist and Lancastrian factions between 1455 and 1487. Edward inherited the Yorkist claim when his father, Richard, Duke of York, died at the Battle of Wakefield in December 1460. After defeating Lancastrian armies at Mortimer's Cross and Towton in early 1461, he deposed King Henry VI and took the throne. His marriage to Elizabeth Woodville in 1464 led to conflict with his chief advisor, Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, known as the "Kingmaker". In 1470, a revolt led by Warwick and Edward's brother George, Duke of Clarence, briefly re-installed Henry VI. Edward fled to Flanders, where he gathered support and invaded England in March 1471; after victories at the battles of Barnet and Tewkesbury, he resumed the throne. Shortly afterwards, Henry VI was found dead in the Tower of London. Despite a continuing threat from Henry Tudor, the last Lancastrian claimant, Edward reigned in relative peace for the next twelve years. When Edward died suddenly in April 1483, his minor son became King Edward V, with his father's brother, the Duke of Gloucester, as Lord Protector. In June, Gloucester seized the throne as Richard III after declaring his nephews illegitimate; they are generally supposed to have been murdered shortly afterwards. In 1485, he was killed at the Battle of Bosworth Field by Henry Tudor, who ruled as Henry VII, and married Edward IV's daughter, Elizabeth of York, thus uniting the two house. From: wikipedia

Eleanor
\-Marguérite DE FRANCE Queen of England
- Father: John I of ENGLAND
- Mother: Isabella COUNTESS of Gloucester
- Birth: 1215, Winchester, Hampshire, England
- Also known as: Eleanor Princess of England
- Also known as: Eleanor of Leicester
- Also known as: Eleanor Plantagenet
- Also known as: Eleanor of England
- Occupation: a nun, after the death of her second husband, AFT 4 AUG 1265, Montargis, Centre, France
- Title Of Nobility: Princess of England
- Affiliation: House of Plantagenet
- LifeSketch: Eleanor of England (also called Eleanor Plantagenet and Eleanor of Leicester) (1215-13 April 1275) was the youngest child of John, King of England and Isabella of Angoulême. «b»Early life«/b» At the time of Eleanor's birth at Gloucester, King John's London was in the hands of French forces, John had been forced to sign the Magna Carta and Queen Isabella was in shame. Eleanor never met her father, as he died at Newark Castle when she was barely a year old. The French, led by Prince Louis the Lion, the future Louis VIII, were marching through the south. The only lands loyal to her brother, King Henry III of England, were in the Midlands and southwest. The barons ruled the north, but they united with the royalists under William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke, who protected the young king Henry, and Louis was defeated. Before William the Marshal died in 1219 Eleanor was promised to his son, also named William. They were married on 23 April 1224 at New Temple Church in London. The younger William was 34 and Eleanor only nine. He died in London on 6 April 1231, days before their seventh anniversary. There were no children of this marriage. Eleanor had brought a dowry of 10 manors and 200 pounds per year to this marriage. According to the law of the time, widows were allowed to retain one third of the estates of the marriage. However, her brother-in-law Richard took all of the estates and sold many, including her dowry, to pay William's debts. Eleanor strove for many years to try and recover her lost property. The widowed Eleanor swore a holy oath of chastity in the presence of Edmund Rich, Archbishop of Canterbury. «b»Simon de Montfort «/b»Seven years later, she met Simon de Montfort, 6th Earl of Leicester. According to Matthew Paris, Simon was attracted to Eleanor's beauty and elegance as well as her wealth and high birth. They fell in love and married secretly on 7 January 1238 at the King's chapel in Westminster Palace. Her brother King Henry later alleged that he only allowed the marriage because Simon had seduced Eleanor. The marriage was controversial because of the oath Eleanor had sworn several years before to remain chaste. Because of this, Simon made a pilgrimage to Rome seeking papal approval for their union. Simon and Eleanor had seven children: 1.) Henry de Montfort (November 1238-1265) 2.) Simon the younger de Montfort (April 1240-1271) 3.) Amaury de Montfort, Canon of York (1242/1243-1300) 4.) Guy de Montfort, Count of Nola (1244-1288) 5.) Joanna, born and died in Bordeaux between 1248 and 1251 6.) Richard de Montfort (1252-1281) 7.) Eleanor de Montfort Princess of Wales (1258-1282) During the Second Barons' War, Simon de Montfort's victory at the Battle of Lewes in 1264 led to him becoming de facto ruler of England. He tried to set up a reformed government, including the first parliament elected by citizens of the towns, but was unable to retain the support of the other barons. Several switched sides to the royalist cause; Montfort was defeated at the Battle of Evesham on 4 August 1265, where he was killed along with his son. Eleanor fled to exile in France where she became a nun at Montargis Abbey, a nunnery founded by her deceased husband's sister Amicia, who remained there as abbess. There she died on 13 April 1275, and was buried there. She was well treated by Henry, retained her incomes, and her proctors were allowed to pursue her litigation concerning the Leicester inheritance in the English courts; her will and testament were executed without hindrance. Through her son Guy, Eleanor was an ancestor of Elizabeth Woodville, queen consort of Edward IV. Eleanor's daughter, Eleanor de Montfort, was married, at Worcester in 1278, to Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, Prince of Wales. She would die giving birth to their only child, Gwenllian of Wales. After the conquest of Wales, Gwenllian was imprisoned by Edward I of England, her mother's first cousin, at Sempringham priory, where she died 1337. «b»Fiction«/b» Eleanor appears as a major character in Sharon Kay Penman's novel Falls the Shadow, where she is called Nell. Eleanor is also the main character in Virginia Henley's The Dragon and the Jewel, which tells of her life from just before her marriage to William Marshal to right before the Battle of Lewes in 1264. Her romance and marriage to Simon de Montfort are very much romanticized in this novel, especially since in real life Simon is killed the year following the Battle of Lewes and the pair had already had all 7 of their children; in the book, Eleanor and Simon have only just had their first two sons. Eleanor makes a second appearance in Virginia Henley's historical romance The Marriage Prize. Her role in the book is that of the legal guardian to a young Marshall niece, Rosamond Marshall, who was left an orphan and lived with Simon and Eleanor de Montfort until her marriage to a wealthy noble knight, Rodger de Leyburn. However, in this novel her loyalty to her husband Simon and his last war with the king "battle of Evesham" where he died depicts her love and strength before and after the outcome of the battle.

- Father: Edward I of ENGLAND
- Mother: Eleanor DE CASTILE Queen consort of England
- Birth: 7 AUG 1282, Rhuddlan, Flintshire, Wales
- Title Of Nobility: Countess consort of Holland
- LifeSketch: Elizabeth of Rhuddlan (7 August 1282 – 5 May 1316) was the eighth and youngest daughter of King Edward I and Queen Eleanor of Castile. Of all of her siblings, she was closest to her younger brother King Edward II, as they were only two years apart in age. In April 1285 there were negotiations with Floris V for Elizabeth's betrothal to his son John I, Count of Holland. The offer was accepted and John was sent to England to be educated. On 8 January 1297 Elizabeth was married to John at Ipswich. In attendance at the marriage were Elizabeth's sister Margaret, her father, Edward I of England, her brother Edward, and Humphrey de Bohun. After the wedding Elizabeth was expected to go to Holland with her husband, but did not wish to go, leaving her husband to go alone. It is recorded that while in Ipswich the King, in some outburst, threw his daughter's coronet into the fire: a great ruby and a great emerald were supplied by Adam the Goldsmith for stones lost as a result. After some time travelling England, it was decided Elizabeth should follow her husband. Her father accompanied her, travelling through the Southern Netherlands between Antwerp, Mechelen, Leuven and Brussels, before ending up in Ghent. There they remained for a few months, spending Christmas with her two sisters Eleanor and Margaret. On 10 November 1299, John died of dysentery, though there were rumours of his murder. No children had been born from the marriage. On her return trip to England, Elizabeth went through Brabant to see her sister Margaret. When she arrived in England, she met her stepmother Margaret, whom Edward had married while she was in Holland. On 14 November 1302 Elizabeth was married to Humphrey de Bohun, 4th Earl of Hereford, 3rd of Essex, also Constable of England, at Westminster Abbey. The children of Elizabeth and Humphrey de Bohun, 4th Earl of Hereford were: 1. Margaret de Bohun (born 1302 - died 7 Feb. 1304). 2. Humphrey de Bohun (born c. Oct. 1303 - died c. Oct. 1304). 3. Lady Eleanor de Bohun (17 October 1304 – 1363) 4. John de Bohun, 5th Earl of Hereford (23 November 1306 – 1335) 5. Humphrey de Bohun, 6th Earl of Hereford (6 December c. 1309 – 1361) 6. Margaret de Bohun, 2nd Countess of Devon (3 April 1311 – 1391) 7. William de Bohun, 1st Earl of Northampton (1312–1360). 8. Edward de Bohun (1312–1334), twin of William 9. Eneas de Bohun, (1314 - after 1322); he is mentioned in his father's will 10. Isabel de Bohun (b&d 5 May 1316) During Christmas 1315, Elizabeth, who was pregnant with her eleventh child, was visited by her sister-in-law, Queen Isabella of France. On 5 May 1316 she went into labour, giving birth to her daughter Isabella. Both Elizabeth and her daughter Isabella died shortly after the birth, and were buried together in Walden Abbey Church, Walden Essex. [1] [1] Elizabeth of Rhuddlan, Wikipedia.

- LifeSketch: Wikipedia - Ermengarde of Bourgogne Ermengarde (also Hermengarde, Ermengarda, Irmengarde, Irainsanda,[1] Eimildis[2]) (c. 990– after 20 September 1057) was a medieval noblewoman. Through her first marriage, to Rotbold II, Count of Provence, she was countess of Provence, and from 1011 to 1032 Ermengarde was the last queen consort of Upper Burgundy, by virtue of her second marriage to Rudolf III of Burgundy. Life Ermengarde's origins are obscure, and the identity of her relatives is unknown. Several scholars have, however, suggested that Ermengarde was related to Humbert of Savoy and the House of Savoy. In the nineteenth century, several scholars hypothesised that Ermengarde's first husband was Manasses, count of Savoy, with whom she had a son, Humbert of Savoy.[3] Laurent Ripart, by contrast, suggests that Ermengarde may have been the sister of Humbert of Savoy, who was part of the entourage of Rudolf III of Burgundy.[4] Alternatively, François Demotz argues that Ermengarde was a member of the Sigiboldides (or Siboldi) dynasty, who were also part of Rudolf III's entourage.[5] Countess of Provence Ermengarde married Rotbald II of Provence before 1002, when they made a donation to Montmajour Abbey.[6] The couple is mentioned in the Carta liberalis in 1005.[6] Also in 1005, they were present for the election of the new abbot at the Abbey of St Victor, Marseille, alongside Adelaide-Blanche of Anjou and her sons William III Taillefer, Count of Toulouse, and William II, Count of Provence.[7] With Rotbald, Ermengarde had two sons and a daughter:[8] Hugh, bishop of Lausanne (r. 1018–1037).[9] William III of Provence[10] Emma, who married William III Taillefer, Count of Toulouse, and thus brought the margravial title in Provence to the House of Rouergue.[11] Queen of Burgundy After Rotbald's death (d. before 1011), Ermengarde married again. Her second husband, whom she married in 1011, was Rudolf III of Burgundy.[12] Ermengarde and Rudolf were married until his death in 1032, but they had no children together.[13] On 24 April 1011 Rudolf issued two diplomas granting Ermengarde extensive property, including the town of Vienne, the royal castle of Pipet, the counties of Vienne and Sermorens, and all his possessions between Vienne and Lake Constance, as her dower.[14] In August 1011, Ermengarde intervened in Rudolf's diploma, granting Henry, bishop of Lausanne, rights over the county of Vaud.[15] The couple issued one diploma together, a donation to the monastery of Cluny in 1019.[16] and Ermengarde intervened in many of Rudolf's other acts, including donations to the monastery of Saint-Martin de Savigny,[17] and the Abbey of St. Maurice, Agaunum.[18] Acting independently, Ermengarde made a donation to Cluny for the sake of Rudolf's soul,[19] and endowed the monastery of Saint-Martin de Savigny in 1031.[20] Succession of Burgundy At Strasbourg in 1016, Rudolf III did homage to Emperor Henry II. At the same time, Ermengarde entrusted her sons Hugh and William to Henry II's care. Henry called Hugh and William his "beloved vassals (dilectus sibi militibus), and granted them the fiefs of Otto-William, Count of Burgundy, who had rebelled against Henry.[21] After Rudolf's death in September 1032, Ermengarde and her son Hugh arranged for the transfer of the crown of Burgundy and the Holy Lance to Emperor Conrad II. In January 1033, Ermengarde, and her advocate (and possible relative) Humbert of Savoy, and others, do homage to Conrad II at Zurich.[22] The actions of Ermengarde and Humbert of Savoy ensured the permanent bond between Burgundy and Germany.[23]

- LifeSketch: Foundation for Medieval Genealogy King Philippe had one [probably illegitimate] child [by an unknown mistress]: 8. EUDES de France (-1096). The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines records the death in 1096 of "Odo frater Ludovici Grossi de alia matre"[363]. According to Europäische Stammtafeln[364], Eudes was the son of King Philippe & his first wife but this appears to be contradicted by Alberic. According to Kerrebrouck[365], Eudes was the son of King Philippe's second marriage but there seems little time for a third child to have been born to Bertrade de Montfort during the first three years of her marriage. It is more likely that Eudes was an illegitimate son of King Philippe.

- Father: Titus Flavius Postumius OF THE POSTUMII
- Birth: ABT 250
- LifeSketch: From Wikipedia Titus Flavius Postumius Titianus (fl. late 3rd and 4th century AD) was a Roman statesman who served as Senator and Consul suffectus. Biography Postumius Titianus was a member of the third century ‘’gens Postumii’’, which was not descended from the Republican family of the same name. In his early career he was an imperial candidate for both the offices of Quaestor and Praetor. Before the year 291, he was either a suffect consul or perhaps adlectus inter consulares.[1] Around AD 291/2, Postumius Titianus was appointed corrector Transpadanae cognoscens vice sacra and electus ad iudicandas sacras appellationes (that is, the Corrector of Cisalpine Gaul and the officer responsible for the management of imperial judicial duties and the execution of the emperor’s will). During this time he built and dedicated a temple to Sol Invictus at Comum. In AD 292/3, he was the Corrector Campaniae, and was the first official who served in this capacity.[2] This was followed in 293/4 or 294/5 by his posting as consularis aquarum et Miniciae (or the official with proconsular imperium responsible for maintaining the aqueducts and grain importation into Rome). He employed a Titus Aelius Poemenius as his assistant, who set up an inscription to Postumius Titianus when he completed his posting.[3] From July 295 to July 296, he was the proconsular governor of Africa Proconsularis, replacing Cassius Dio. Then in AD 301, he was appointed consul prior alongside Virius Nepotianus. Finally, he was appointed Praefectus urbi of Rome, a position he held from 12 February 305 to 19 March 306. Before AD 295 he had been appointed to two priestly positions, that of Augur and Pontifex dei Solis. Later on in his career, Postumius Titianus was given another religious role, that of duodecemvir urbis Romae (a college created in connection with the temple of Venus and Roma dedicated by Hadrian in AD 135). He continued to serve his priestly functions into the reign of Constantine I.[4] At some point, he was also the Curator of Lyons, Cales and another unspecified town.[5] Postumius Titianus was also described as an orator. Postumius Titianus was the last person who styled himself Cos. II on achieving an ordinary consulship on the basis of a previous suffect consulship.[6]
