- Birth: ABT 55 BC
- Title Of Nobility: King of Siluria
- LifeSketch: Marius was a legendary king of the Britons during the time of the Roman occupation of Britain, as recounted in Geoffrey of Monmouth's pseudohistorical Historia Regum Britanniae. He was the son of King Arvirargus and ruled following his father's death. According to Geoffrey, he ruled wisely in the time when the Picts first arrived in Britain. A fleet of ships under the leadership of Sodric came from Scythia and landed in Albany. Once there, they began to destroy the lands and Marius was forced to react. Following numerous battles, Marius killed Sodric and set up a stone there to remember that triumph. In addition, that land became known as Westmorland after him. In respect for the people he defeated, he gave them a small portion of Albany called Caithness to live in. Marius refused, however, to give them women to marry so the Picts fled to Ireland and took wives there. Marius established close ties with Rome and good diplomacy through tribute and respect of the Roman citizens in Britain. He followed the laws of his ancestors and ruled justly. When he died, he was succeeded by his son, Coilus.

- Father: Brunolf IV D`ARDENNES
- Mother: Clotilde DE NEUSTRIE
- Birth: ABT 590, Soissons, Kingdom of Neustria, Gaul, Roman Empire
- Also known as: Sichilde De Las Ardenas
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia Sichilde (ca. 590–627) was a Frankish queen consort in 618–627; married to Chlothar II.[1] She was the daughter of the Count Brunulphe II of the Ardennes and the sister of Gomatrude (598–630), who was married to Dagobert I; her maternal grandfather was royal maior domus. She married Chlothar in about 618. In 626 or 627, she was suspected of having had a relationship with Boso, son of Audolène of Étampes, and Boso was killed by the duke Arnebert on the order of Chlothar.

- Father: Sigramnus in AUSTRIEN
- Mother: Landrade spouse of Sigramnus in AUSTRIEN
- Birth: 710, ?
- LifeSketch: this person is Ingram de Hesbaye father BUT it is not sure if his name is correct - we know that Ingrams father was a brother of Chrodegang Bischof von Metz - Chrodegangs Parents (so Ingram’s Grand Parents ) are Sigramnus, nobilis in Austrien and Landrada. Landrada is sometimes added as sister of Cancor Graf in Alemannien und Oberrheingau. This is not possible as she was born then about 740 – and this makes no sense - Other sources shown her as daughter of Chrodobertus ( Robert) – this is from the time line rather plausible. (see Detlev Schwennicke: Europäische Stammtafeln.)

=Hedwige BAVARIA
- Birth: ABT 500
- Clan Name: House of Heruli
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia - Rodolf, petty king Silinga In the early 6th century, the Lombard king Wacho took Silinga as his third wife, who was said to be the daughter of the last king of the Heruls.[25] This has led some scholars to believe that Silinga probably was a daughter of Rodulf;[26] she again had the son Walthari.[27] The marriage between Wacho and Silinga functioned to legitimize the Lombards as the successors to the kingdom of the Heruls.[28] It has been debated whether Rodulf may have influenced later heroic poetry, since the causes of the war between the Lombards and the Heruli (as reported by Paul the Deacon) concerns related issues. Some have furthermore argued that Rodulf could be the background for the character Hrólfr Kraki who appears in the later sagas. Evidence for this includes the significant similarities between the traditions of, on the one side, the Scyldings of the Skjöldunga saga and the Scylfings of the Swedish sagas, and on the other, historical knowledge of the environment around the Heruli, Goths and Huns It has also been speculated that the Ráðulfr mentioned in the Rök Runestone (which also mentions Theodoric the Great) could be identical with Rodulf.[22] ************************ The History of the Later Roman Empire (in sources) ...This defeat had important results. It led to the dissolution of the Herul nation into two portions, of which one migrated northward and returned to the old home of the people in Scandinavia . The rest moved first into the former territory of the Rugians, but finding the land a desert they begged the Gepids to allow them to settle in their country . The Gepids granted the request, but repaid themselves by carrying their cattle and violating their women. Then the Heruls sought the protection the Emperor who readily granted them land one the Illyrian provinces. But their rapacious instincts soon drove them to plunder and maltreat the provincials and Anastasius was compelled to send the army to chastise them. Many were killed, the rest made complete submission and were suffered to remain. No people quite so barbarous had ever yet been settled on Roman soil. It was was their habit to put to death the old and the sick and the women were expected hang themselves when their husbands died. When Justinian came to the throne he effected their conversion to Christianity. Their king with his nobles was invited Constantinople where he was baptized with all his party, the Emperor standing sponsor, and was dismissed with handsome gifts. Larger subsidies were granted them and better lands in the neighbourhood Singidunum with the province Second Pannonia. (A.D. 527-528) Henceforward for some years they fulfilled their duties Federates and supplied contingents the Roman army But though their savagery had been mitigated after they embraced the Christian faith they were capricious and faithless they had not even the merit of chaste manners for which Tacitus and Salvian praise the Germanic peoples. They were the worst people in the whole world in the opinion of a contemporary historian.3

- Title Of Nobility: Queen consort of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and England
- LifeSketch: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%9Awi%C4%99tos%C5%82awa [...] Świętosława was a Polish princess, daughter of Mieszko I of Poland and Dobrawa of Bohemia, and sister of Boleslaw I of Poland. She was married first to Eric the Victorious of Sweden and then Sweyn Forkbeard of Denmark, according to German chroniclers, and gave them the sons Olof, and Canute and Harald, respectively. The name is only known through an inscription that gives the name of Canute's sister and the assumption that this sister was named for her mother. "The Icelandic sagas give her rôle to Sigrid the Haughty. >>This account is considered less reliable<< than the contemporary chroniclers by a number of scholars [...]" ----- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunhild_of_Wenden "[...] Several alternative interpretations of these data have been proposed. Gunhild might be identical to the historical wife of Sweyn. Further, the dual marriage reported by Adam of Bremen matches the Heimskringla account of Sigrid the Haughty. This *may represent confusion between two wives*, or it could be that Sigrid is a confused duplicate memory of the same historical wife. This would mean that the woman called Gunhild in the sagas was Eric's widow, as several historians have concluded. >> Finally, it is possible that Gunhild is simply a legendary invention <<, not directly based on Sweyn's known Polish wife." ----- Additional URLs are located in the Sources section of this profile. ----- [NB: Information sourced from Wikipedia is subject to change by third-parties. - LifeSketch: Tasciovanus was a historical king of the Catuvellauni tribe before the Roman conquest of Britain. «b»History«/b» Tasciovanus is known only through numismatic evidence. He appears to have become king of the Catuvellauni c. 20 BC, ruling from Verlamion (the site of modern-day St Albans). He is believed to have moved the tribal capital to that site from an earlier settlement, near modern-day Wheathampstead. For a brief period c. 15-10 BC he issued coins from Camulodunum (Colchester), apparently supplanting Addedomarus of the Trinovantes. After this he once again issued his coins from Verlamion, now bearing the legend RICON, for Rigonos, Common Brittonic for "great/divine/legitimate king". Some of his coins bear other abbreviated names such as "DIAS", "SEGO" and "ANDOCO": these are generally considered to be the names of co-rulers or subordinate kings, but may instead be mint-marks. He died c. AD 9, succeeded by his son Cunobeline, who ruled primarily from Camulodunum. Another son, Epaticcus, expanded his territory westwards into the lands of the Atrebates. «b»Medieval traditions«/b» A genealogy preserved in the medieval Welsh manuscript Harleian 3859 (see Harleian genealogies) contains three generations which read "Caratauc map Cinbelin map Teuhant". This is the equivalent of "Caratacus, son of Cunobelinus, son of Tasciovanus", putting the three historical figures in the correct order, although the wrong historical context, the degree of linguistic change suggesting a long period of oral transmission. The remainder of the genealogy contains the names of a sequence of Roman emperors, and two Welsh mythological figures, Guidgen (Gwydion) and Lou (Lleu). He appears in Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae (1136) as the legendary king Tenvantius, son of Lud. When his father died, he and his older brother Androgeus were still minors, so the kingship of Britain was given to their uncle Cassibelanus. Tenvantius was made Duke of Cornwall, and participated in his uncle's defence of Britain against Julius Caesar. Androgeus went to Rome with Caesar, so when Cassibelanus died, Tenvantius succeeded him as king. He was in turn succeeded by his son Kimbelinus (Cunobeline), who had been brought up at the court of Augustus. In Middle Welsh versions of Geoffrey's Historia his name appears as Teneufan and Trahayant. He under the name of Tenewan ap Lludd (Geoffrey of Monmouth's version) is claimed as a paternal ancestor in the Mostyn Ms. 117 by the Mathrafal Dynasty and therefore subsequently the Kings of Rhwng Gwy Y Hafren also.

- LifeSketch: Wikipedia - Tassilo I (or Tassilon) (560 – 610) was Duke of Bavaria from 591 to his death. According to Paul the Deacon, he was appointed as Bavarian rex by Childebert II, Frankish king of Austrasia, in 591, ending the war with the Franks. The war began during the reign of Tassilo's predecessor, Garibald I, when Garibald concluded a marriage alliance with the Lombards. We do not know whether Garibald died or was deposed. Nor do we know Tassilo's exact relationship to Garibald, though we can assume Tassilo was a close relation if not his son. The fact that Childebert named Tassilo duke shows Frankish control over the Bavarian state. Paul the Deacon also tells us that Tassilo soon moved into the lands of the Slavs (probably the recently conquered eastern Tyrol and Carinthia), and returned victorious with much plunder. This victory proved to be short-lived as Paul tells us of 2,000 Bavarians, who were slain to the last man in 595. They had invaded the lands of the Slavs, who received help from the Kaghan (chief) of the Avars. Tassilo died in 610 and was succeeded by his son Garibald II.

- LifeSketch: Foundation for Medieval Genealogy THEODERICH (587-Metz 613). Gregory of Tours records the birth of Theoderich son of Childebert[288]. Fredegar records his birth in the 28th year of King Guntram[289]. The Liber Historiæ Francorum names "Childebertus rex…filios duos, seniorem ex concubina…Theudeberto, iuniore…ex regina…Theudericum"[290]. "Theothberto, Theoderico" are named as sons of "Hildebertus" in the Regum Merowingorum Genealogia[291]. He succeeded his father in 596 as THEODERICH II King of the Franks in Burgundy, with his capital at Orléans[292]. His grandmother Queen Brunechilde encouraged him to make war on his brother after Theoderich accepted her following her expulsion from Austrasia in 599. After defeating King Clotaire II in 600 on the banks of the river Orvanne near Dormelles with his brother, King Theoderich acquired all the land between the Seine and Loire and the Atlantic under the terms of the settlement which followed[293]. In 602, he and his brother defeated the Gascons and enforced tribute[294]. He defeated his brother near Toul in May 612 and again at Zülpich [Tolbiac] later the same year[295]. He died from dysentery while marching against King Clotaire II[296]. m ([607/08], repudiated [608/09]) ERMENBERGA of the Visigoths, daughter of WITERICO King of the Visigoths & his wife ---. Fredegar records that, in the twelfth year of his reign, King Theoderich sent "Aridium episcopum Lugdunensem, Rocconem et Æborinum comestaboli" to "Bettericum regem Spaniæ" for the hand of "Ermenberta filia eius", but that the marriage was not consummated, apparently because Queen Brunechilde turned her husband against her, and that after a year she was deprived of her dowry and sent back to Spain[297]. King Theoderich II had four illegitimate children by different unknown concubines: i) SIGEBERT ([602/03]-murdered 613). ii) CHILDEBERT ([603/04]-after 613). iii) CORBUS ([604/05]-murdered 613). iv) MEROVECH ([607/08]-). Fredegar records the birth "de concubina…filius…Meroeus" in the twelfth year of King Theoderich's reign, specifying that King Clotaire was his godfather[306]. He was captured by King Clotaire II in 613, together with his brothers Sigebert and Corbus, but his life was spared by King Clotaire and he was sent in secrecy to Neustria where he was placed under Count Ingobad's protection and lived "for some years"[307].

- Birth: 535, Metz, Kingdom of Austrasia, Frankish Empire
- Title Of Nobility: King of Austrasia, BET 547 AND 555, Kingdom of Austrasia, Frankish Empire
- Lacked a strong constitution: He was sickly for most of his life and died of natural causes.
- LifeSketch: From Wikipedia- Theudebald or Theodebald (in modern English, Theobald; in French, Thibaut or Théodebald; in German, Theudowald) (c. 535–555), son of Theudebert I and Deuteria, was the king of Metz, Rheims, or Austrasia—as it's variously called—from 547 or 548 to 555. He was only thirteen years of age when he succeeded and of ill health. However, the loyalty of the nobility to his father's memory preserved the peace during his minority. He married Waldrada, daughter of the Lombard king Wacho and his step-aunt (a sister of his father's second wife). This marriage fortified the alliance between Austrasia and Lombardy. Nevertheless, Theudebald could not hold on to the conquests of his father in the north of Italia. The Byzantine Emperor Justinian I sent an army under the command of Narses in 552. The Franks who did not perish of want or plague in Apulia were defeated at Casilinum.[1] After a prolonged sickness and prostration, he died in 555. His realm passed finally outside of the family of Theuderic I and was united to the kingdoms of his granduncle Clotaire I, who would soon become king of all the Franks.[2] ****************************** Foundation for Medieval Genealogy THEODEBALD ([534]-555). Gregory of Tours names Theodebald as the son of Theodebert and his wife Deoteria, implying that he was born after his parents' marriage[82]. He succeeded his father in 547 as THEODEBALD I King of the Franks at Reims, "sous la régence de sa tante Theodechildis"[83]. Settipani does not provide the source reference on which he bases this last statement. On Theodebald’s death, his territory was taken by his great uncle King Clotaire. Gregory of Tours records that he had a stroke and could not move from the waist down, dying in the seventh year of his reign[84]. The Marii Episcopi Aventicensis Chronica records the death in 555 of "Theudebaldus rex Francorum"[85]. m ([554]) as her first husband, WALDRADA, daughter of WACHO King of the Lombards & his second wife Ostrogotha of the Gepides. The Origo Gentis Langobardorum names "Wisigarda…secundæ Walderada" as the two daughters of Wacho & his second wife, specifying that Waldrada married "Scusuald regis Francorum" and later "Garipald"[86]. The Historia Langobardorum names "Waldrada" as Wacho's second daughter by his second wife, specifying that she married "Chusubald rex Francorum"[87]. Paulus Diaconus names "Wisigarda…[et] secunda Walderada" as the two daughters of King Wacho and his second wife, specifying that Waldrada married "Cusupald alio regi Francorum" and later "Garipald"[88]. Gregory of Tours names "Vuldetrada" as the wife of King Theodebald[89]. Herimannus names "Wanderadam" wife of "Theodpaldus rex Francorum" when recording her second marriage to "Lotharius rex patris eius Theodeberti patruus"[90]. According to Gregory of Tours, King Clotaire "began to have intercourse" with the widow of King Theodebald before "the bishops complained and he handed her over to Garivald Duke of Bavaria"[91], which does not imply that Clotaire married Waldrada. She [married secondly], her first husband's great-uncle, Clotaire I King of the Franks, and thirdly (after 555) Garibald Duke in Bavaria.

Drusus Julius Caesar Germanicus (adopted) Names Tiberius Claudius Nero Tiberius Caesar Regnal name Tiberius Caesar Augustus Dynasty Julio-Claudian Father Tiberius Claudius Nero Augustus (adoptive) Mother Livia Tiberius was one of Rome's greatest generals: his conquests of Pannonia, Dalmatia, Raetia, and (temporarily) parts of Germania laid the foundations for the northern frontier. Even so, he came to be remembered as a dark, reclusive and somber ruler who never really desired to be emperor; Pliny the Elder called him "the gloomiest of men".[1] After the death of his son Drusus Julius Caesar in AD 23, Tiberius became more reclusive and aloof. In 26 AD he removed himself from Rome and left administration largely in the hands of his unscrupulous praetorian prefects Sejanus and Naevius Sutorius Macro. When Tiberius died, he was succeeded by his grand-nephew and adopted grandson, Caligula.[2] Background Tiberius was born in Rome on 16 November 42 BC to Tiberius Claudius Nero and Livia Drusilla.[3][4] In 39 BC, his mother divorced his biological father and, though again pregnant by Tiberius Nero, married Octavian. In 38 BC his brother, Nero Claudius Drusus, was born.[5] Little is recorded of Tiberius' early life. In 32 BC, Tiberius, at the age of nine, delivered the eulogy for his biological father at the rostra.[6] In 29 BC, he rode in the triumphal chariot along with his adoptive father Octavian in celebration of the defeat of Antony and Cleopatra at Actium.[6] In 23 BC, Emperor Augustus became gravely ill, and his possible death threatened to plunge the Roman world into chaos again. Historians generally agree that it is during this time that the question of Augustus' heir became most acute, and while Augustus had seemed to indicate that Agrippa and Marcellus would carry on his position in the event of his death, the ambiguity of succession became Augustus' chief problem.[7] In response, a series of potential heirs seem to have been selected, among them Tiberius and his brother Drusus. In 24 BC, at the age of seventeen, Tiberius entered politics under Augustus' direction, receiving the position of quaestor,[8] and was granted the right to stand for election as praetor and consul five years in advance of the age required by law.[9] Similar provisions were made for Drusus.[10]
