From 565 at the latest, she was Chilperich's concubine Chilperich separated from Audovera around 565/567 and wed Gailswintha, the daughter of the Visigoth king Athanagild, in 567, after his half-brother and rival, King Sigibert I of Austrasia, married Gailswintha's younger sister Brunichild in 566. But Chilperic was not ready to renounce his connection with Fredegunde, although he had promised Athanagild this. Gailswintha then wanted to return to her father, but Chilperich refused. - Father: Gaius Julius ALEXANDER
- Mother: Julia IOTAPA
- Birth: ABT 72
- Also known as: Γαίος Ιούλιος Άγρίππας
- LifeSketch: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaius_Julius_Agrippa (as of 18 June 2021) Gaius Julius Agrippa (Greek: Γαίος Ιούλιος Άγρίππας, about 72 – before 150) was a Cilician Prince and the first-born son of King Gaius Julius Alexander and Queen Julia Iotapa of Cetis. He had two younger siblings: a brother called Gaius Julius Alexander Berenicianus and a sister called Julia Iotapa. Surviving inscriptions on his family reveal that his family were related to important members of Asian, non-Jewish and Jewish aristocracy. He was of Jewish, Nabataean, Edomite, Greek, Armenian, Medes and Persian origins. His paternal grandparents were King Tigranes VI of Armenia and his wife Opgalli. Through Tigranes, he was a descendant of King Archelaus of Cappadocia, King of Judea Herod the Great and his wife Mariamne. Agrippa along with his family and paternal relatives were among the last known descendants of the Herodian Dynasty. He was an apostate to Judaism. It is unlikely that Agrippa attempted to exert influence on Judean Politics. His name indicates that the family connections from the Herodian Dynasty were not wholly broken. His maternal grandparents were King Antiochus IV of Commagene and Queen Julia Iotapa. The Kingdom of Cetis was a small client state in the Roman Empire. Cetis was a small region in Cilicia that was previously ruled by his Cappadocian royal ancestors and Antiochus IV. The city in Cilicia Elaiussa Sebaste was a part of the Kingdom. When his parents married in Rome in 58, then Roman Emperor Nero crowned his parents as monarchs and gave them that region to rule. He was born, raised and educated in Cetis. There is an honorific inscription dedicated to him as a ‘son of King Alexander’. In 94, Agrippa along with his brother Berenicianus entered the Roman Senate. Surviving inscriptions also reveal the career of Agrippa. Agrippa became and served as a Quaestor for the Roman Province of Asia. Before 109, Agrippa served as a Praetorian Guard, before his father reached and served as a consul or suffect consul. Agrippa married a Roman woman who belonged or was related to the Fabia gens. From this marriage Agrippa had two sons, a younger Gaius Julius Agrippa and Lucius Julius Gainius Fabius Agrippa. A possible descendant from his family was the usurper of the 3rd century Jotapianus.
- Death: BEF 150

- Father: Gaius Octavius III Magistrate of VELITRAE
- Mother: Aurelia COTTA
- Birth: 100 BC, Velitrae, Roma, Roman Republic
- Occupation: Govenor of Macedonia
- Title Of Nobility: Roman Senator
- Death:: Campaigna, Italy
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia Gaius Octavius IV (about 100 – 59 BC) was a Roman politician. The Octavii, were wealthy townsmen from Velitrae, southeast of Rome, to which his father came only as an equestrian banker, though his grandfather was a senator. Gaius Octavius Gaius Octavius (about 100-59 BC) was an ancestor to the Roman Emperors of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. He is the father of the Emperor Augustus, step-grandfather of the Emperor Tiberius, great-grandfather of the Emperor Claudius, great-great grandfather of the Emperor Caligula, and great-great-great grandfather of the Emperor Nero. Hailing from Velitrae, he descended from an old, wealthy equestrian branch of the gens Octavia. Despite being from a wealthy family, his family was plebeian, rather than patrician. As a novus homo ("new man"), he would not be of a senatorial family. His grandfather, Gaius Octavius, fought as a military tribune in Sicily during the Second Punic War. His father Gaius Octavius was a municipal magistrate who lived to an advanced age. He is a distant relative (possibly as third cousins, through their ancestor Gnaeus Octavius Rufus) to Gnaeus Octavius, the consul of 87 BC who led the opposition to Lucius Cornelius Cinna. Personal life Octavius' first wife was named Ancharia. The two had a child (named Octavia Major). It is not known how the marriage ended, although it is possible that Ancharia died during child birth. He later married the niece of Julius Caesar, Atia Balba Caesonia. How they met is not known, although Atia's family on her father's side (the Balbi) lived close to Velitrae, which was the ancestral home of the Octavii. They had two children: Octavia Minor and the Emperor Augustus, the latter of whom was born in 63 BC. Political career Octavius was elected quaestor, believed to have been in 70 BC. In 61 BC, he was elected praetor. In 60 BC, after his term had ended, he was appointed proprietor, and was to serve as governor (praefectus pro praetor) of Macedonia. Before he left for Macedonia, the senate sent him to put down a slave rebellion at Thurii. These slaves had previously taken part in the rebellions of Spartacus and Catiline. He then left for Macedonia and proved a capable administrator, governing "courageously and justly", his deeds included leading the Roman forces to victory in an unexpected battle against the Thracian Bessian tribe. Cicero had high regard for his diplomatic dealings. Because of his successful term as governor of Macedonia, he won the support necessary to be elected consul. In 59 BC, Octavius sailed to Rome, to stand for election as consul. However, he died in Nola, before arriving in Rome. He supposedly died in the same bedroom where his son Augustus would pass away many years later. His career is summarized in an inscription erected by his son on the forum he built in Rome: “Gaius Octavius, son, grandson and great-grandson of Gaius, father of Augustus, twice military tribune, quaestor, aedile of the plebs together with Gaius Toranius, judge, praetor, proconsul, proclaimed imperator in the province of Macedonia”
- Death: 59 BC, Nola, Naples, Roman Republic
- Burial: 59 BC

(Cf. Souto, Dom Saul Palma e Dornelles, Dom Homero Corrêa Pires. - LifeSketch: Wikipedia Garibald I (also Garivald; Latin: Garibaldus; born 540) was Duke (or King) of Bavaria from 555 until 591.[1] He was the head of the Agilolfings, and the ancestor of the Bavarian dynasty that ruled the Kingdom of the Lombards. Biography[edit] After the death of the Merovingian king Theudebald of Austrasia, his successor Chlothar I had "begun to have intercourse with"[2] his widow Waldrada (531–572), daughter of the Lombard king Wacho. Chlothar's bishops objected, so he gave Waldrada to Garibald to marry in 556. Not only did this grant Garibald prestige, but it created lasting political ties between the Bavarii and the Lombards of Pannonia and Bohemia. This would have consequences after the Lombards moved into Italy in 568. Some time before 585, the Merovingian court attempted to bind Duke Garibald more closely to its interests by arranging a marriage between his daughter Theodelinda and King Childebert II of Austrasia. At the same time the Merovingians were attempting to normalise relations with Authari, the Lombard king, by arranging a marriage between Childebert's sister and Authari. Both these proposals fell through. The offended Authari was engaged to Theodelinda in 588. Fearing an anti-Frankish axis, the Franks sent an army into Bavaria. Garibald's children Gundoald and Theodelinda fled to Italy. Authari married Theodelinda in May 589 and named his brother-in-law, Gundoald, Duke of Asti. In 590, the Franks invaded Lombardy with help from Byzantium, but were defeated. In 591, Childebert normalised relations with the Lombards and Bavarii. After King Authari died in 590, the Lombard dukes asked Theodelinda to marry again. She chose Authari's cousin Agilulf as her husband, and he was accepted as the next king. They then negotiated a peace with Childebert which lasted for decades. According to Paulus Diaconus, peace with Bavaria was restored when Childebert named Tassilo rex (king). It is unknown whether Garibald was deposed or died. Nor is it clear what Tassilo's relationship to Garibald was; though if not his son, he was certainly a close relation. He was reportedly also the father of Romilda of Friuli.

- Father: Gauzlin I DU MAINE
- Mother: Adeltrude DE BOURGES DU MAINE
- Birth: 775, France
- LifeSketch: Gauzbert was the younger son of Gauzlin I of Maine and Adeltrude, born about 775 in Le Mans, Maine, Neustria (France). His older brother Rorgon I is considered the progenitor of the Rorgonid dynasty. Gauzbert is recorded for the first time in 839 in a charter of his brother Count Rorgon I of Maine. Gauzbert apparently "followed the religious life" at the Abbey of Saint-Maur-sur-Loire, where Rorgon made a donation of land. The charter dated 1 Mar 839 was confirmed by Dodon Bishop of Anjou, and signed by Count Rorgon, his wife Bilechildis, and his brother Gausberti (Gauzbert). Rorgon died in 640 and Gauzbert left the Abbey to succeeded him as Count of Maine. He organized the defense of the County of Maine against the Vikings. In 852 he also fought and killed Lambert II, Count of Nantes. Supposedly King Charles the Bald, Gauzbert's overlord, accused him of making an alliance with the Bretons in 853. The Bretons were in revolt against Charles at the time. Gauzbert died that same year. Some reports say he was executed by King Charles, but most record that he was ambushed and killed by citizens of Nantes in revenge for the death of Lambert II. His nephew Rorgon II succeeded him as Count of Maine. It is not known whether he was married or had children, how ever, having lead a religious life, he most likely did not. He was buried at Nantes Cathedral.

- Father: Geoffrey I Viscount of Orleans
- Mother: Rachel ORLEANS DE CHARTRES
- Birth: 900, Orléans, Loiret, Centre-Val de Loire, Frankreich
- Also known as: Geoffrey I of Châteaudun
- LifeSketch: Geoffrey I (Gauzfred I) (d. after 985), Viscount of Châteaudun, possibly the son of Geoffroy, Viscount of Chartres. Geoffrey was appointed viscount by Theobald the Trickster, in his position of Count of Châteaudun. Geoffrey was the founder of the House of Châteaudun, which gave rise to both the House of Ingelger and House of Plantagenets. It is believed, but unverified, that Geoffrey descended from Rogron I, Count of Maine, and therefore part of the Rogonid/Rorgonid dynasty. Little is known about Geoffrey, other than he was closely associated with Hardouin, Archbishop of Tours. Geoffrey married Ermengarde of an unknown family and had one child: Hugues, Viscount of Châteaudun Geoffrey was succeeded by his son as Viscount of Châteaudun upon his death. There are differing accounts about Geoffrey and his offspring. One prominent theory is that Geoffrey and Hughes were the same person, and that Ermengarde was Geoffrey’s first wife, and Hildegard, the wife of Hughes, was his second.

Google translation: Girard is the son of Leuthard I (count of Fezensac and Paris) and Grimaut, a Burgundian princess (?? - 877), better known by the names of Girard de Vienne. According to René Poupardin, he married on an unknown date, but before 818, Berthe, a daughter of Hugues, the count of Tours and the sister of Ermengarde de Tours. With this union, Gérard is now the brother-in-law of Emperor Lothaire I and obtains as first post the administration of Avallonnais and Lassois. FROM THIS MARRIAGE IS BORN NO MALE HEIR and only one daughter: Eva. During the exercise of his first office, he bought several domains in the region between 815 and 827: a stately home and a church in October 818 and especially the domain of Vezeliacum between 820 and 830. These lands, which today correspond to Vézelay, were the property of Louis le Pieux and are given as evidence of a favor to Gérard. -- https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%A9rard_II_de_Paris --

- Father: Gérold VOM ANGLACHGAU Graf im Kraichgau und Anglachgau
- Mother: Imma Gräfin im Kraichgau
- Birth: ABT 754, Kraichgau, Stammesherzogtum Schwaben
- LifeSketch: Gerold in der Baar (also Gerold II., Geroldo, Gerolt, Geroldus, Gero, Kerold, Keroldo, Kerolt, Keroldus; † September 1, 799) from Alemannia was one of the most important military leaders, advisers and personal confidants of Charlemagne and was after the deposition of Duke Tassilo III. first Frankish governor (prefect) and highest military leader of Bavaria Brother-in-law CHARLES THE GREAT, on his father's side, came from an important Middle Rhine empire aristocratic family (GEROLDINGER), in which the AGILOLFINGER name Gerold (= Garibald) was evidently a key name. Gerold had been a count in the Alemannic Bertoldsbaar since 786 at the latest; large donations by Gerold to the Reichenau monastery are evidence of considerable holdings on the upper Danube and Neckar. He played a decisive role in numerous campaigns by CHARLES THE GREAT (against Saxons, Slavs and Avars, very probably also in CHARLES 'campaign against the Lombards, 773-774). Because of his military skills and bravery, he was called the signifer (standard bearer) KARLS. After the deposition of Tassilos III. (788) Gerold received the office of Prefect in Bavaria at the latest in 791, that is, the royal governor of the Duchy of Agilolfing, which had previously been under imperial power. His at least extensive relationship with the AGILOLFINGERS may also have played a role in this. Since the sources are silent about Bavarian unrest (apart from an uprising by the king's son Pippin in 792), one gets the impression that Gerold coped well with the difficult task, which also included the repeated implementation of campaigns against the Avars. In 798 he was working in Carantania when he and Archbishop Arn of Salzburg introduced the (mission) Bishop Deoderich to his district north of the Drava. Gerold fell in the fight against the Avars before the decisive battle. In the Reichenau monastery his memory - increased martyrly - remained particularly lively. However, nothing certain is known about other descendants of Gerold. Like many other Frankish imperial aristocrats, the Gerolds family lost a lot of influence under the later King Ludwig the German- -- Gerold had at least two sons. Hadrian. A son of Gerold by this name is known from a donation to the Lorsch Monastery in 793. As Michael Mitterauer suspects, the choice of this name is likely to be related to the fact that Count Gerold accompanied Emperor Charlemagne on his first journey to Rome in 774 and named his son after Pope Hadrian I (772-795). Erpo. He probably died early, as he is mentioned in the document from the year 793, with which his brother Hadrian hands over property to the Lorsch Monastery in Hesse for his soul's salvation

- Father: Garibald I, Herzog der Bajuwaren in Baiern
- Mother: Waldrada von den Langobarden
- Birth: ABT 558, Stammesherzogtum Baiern
- LifeSketch: No contemporary document mentions the name of his (Pippin der Ältere) parents, and the Vita Garitrudis abbatissae Nivialencis written in the seventh century only says that his origin is so illustrious that no one in Europe ignores the name and glory of his ancestors. In the tenth century, the Genealogia regum Francorum speaks of "Carloman, mayor of the Palace of Austrasia under Thibert II [596-612] and father of Pépin", then in the eleventh century, the Vita Pippini ducis simply said he was the son of a Carloman , without further details. Contemporary documentation does not confirm the existence of a mayor of the palace named Carloman at the beginning of the 7th century. Historians are divided on the very existence of Carloman, with some completely rejecting the information. But this mention of Carloman as Pepin's father in the Vita Pippini ducis makes no particular claim and seems to come from a source other than the Genealogia regum Francorum. In addition, at the birth of Charles Martel, the successor of Frédégaire, indicates that his father Pépin de Herstal named him with a name taken from his own language, that is to say from his mother tongue, which indicates that Charles's first name comes from his maternal family, so that of Pépin de Landen. As for her mother, she remains unknown to the various sources, both contemporary and later. However, one can notice in the close family of Pépin a certain number of carriers of first names agilolfinges. He is indeed brother of a Waldrade and father of a Grimoald and a Gertrude. As no document mentions Pépin as an Agilolfinge, the latter can only be allied to this family by women. Chronologically, the only agnatic link that accounts for this onomastic is that the mother of Pépin de Landen is a daughter of Garibald, first duke of Bavaria, and of his wife Waldrade, widow of kings Thibaut and Clotaire I.
