- Father: Marcus Livius Drusus of ROME
- Mother: Cornelia Scipionis
- Birth: ABT 120 BC
- When her father died, and she passed into the care of her brother,: the younger Livius Drusus.
- She and Caepio must have divorced for reasons not stated by any ancient historian;: but Pliny the Elder reported that Caepio and Drusus had fallen out over the sale of a ring for which each was bidding at auction.
- LifeSketch: Livia Drusa (c. 120 BC – c. 92 BC) was a Roman matron. She was the daughter of Marcus Livius Drusus, consul in 112 BC, and sister of Marcus Livius Drusus, tribune of the plebs in 91 BC. She was the mother of Cato the Younger, and grandmother of Marcus Junius Brutus, through her oldest daughter Servilia. Life and family Livia's father died in 108 BC, and she passed into the care of her brother, the younger Livius Drusus. About 106, Drusus arranged for her to marry his friend, Quintus Servilius Caepio.[1] They had three children: Servilia, born before 100 BC, married Marcus Junius Brutus, and was the mother of Brutus, the tyrannicide. She was the mistress of Caesar, for which reason Caesar was rumoured to be Brutus' father.[i][2] Servilia Minor, born circa 99 BC, the second wife of Lucius Licinius Lucullus, consul in 74 BC.[3][4] Gnaeus Servilius Caepio,[5] born circa 98 BC, a military tribune during the Third Servile War.[6] Livia and Caepio must have divorced about 98 BC, for reasons not stated by any ancient historian;[ii] but Pliny the Elder reports that Caepio and Drusus had fallen out over the sale of a ring for which each was bidding at auction.[7][8][9] Livia then married Marcus Porcius Cato, a grandson of Cato the Elder.[10] They had two children: Porcia, born circa 96 BC, married Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus, consul in 54 BC.[11][12] Marcus Porcius Cato Uticensis, or Cato the Younger, born 95 BC, a statesman, orator, and political opponent of Caesar.[13][14][15][16][17][18] Cato and Livia both died in the late 90s BC, and their children were raised in the household of Livia's brother, Marcus Livius Drusus.[15]

- LifeSketch: Wikipedia - Gaius Livius Drusus Spouse(s) Cornelia Children Gaius Livius Drusus Marcus Livius Drusus Livia Parent(s) Marcus Livius Drusus Aemilianus (father) Gaius Livius Drusus[1] was a Roman politician who was consul in 147 BC, together with Scipio Aemilianus. Family Livius Drusus was a member of the plebeian gens Livia. His father was born to the patrician gens Aemilia, most likely a younger brother of Lucius Aemilius Paullus Macedonicus, who was adopted by Marcus Livius Drusus Salinator.[2] He was the father of Marcus Livius Drusus, Gaius Livius Drusus and Livia.[3] Political career Livius Drusus was elected Praetor around the year 150 BC. He was then elected consul for 147 BC, alongside Scipio Aemilianus, who was possibly his first cousin.[4] As the Third Punic War was raging, there was enormous concern in Rome about who was going to be assigned the command of the Roman forces against Carthage. Drusus, as was the custom, requested that lots be drawn to assign the provinces to the respective consuls. This was vetoed by one of the plebeian tribunes, who proposed that the assignment of the provinces be put before the concilium Plebis. The people then voted to assign the war against Carthage to Scipio Aemilianus.[5][6]
- Roman Republic: The first was the Roman Republic which lasted from 509 BC to 27 BC. During this time there was no single leader of Rome. The government was run by elected officials. The second period was the Roman Empire which lasted from 27 BC to 476 AD (Western Roman Empire).

- LifeSketch: Wikipedia - Marcus Livius Drusus (c. 124 – 91 BC) was a Roman politician and reformer, most famous as Tribune of the plebs in 91 BC. During his year in office, Drusus proposed wide-ranging legislative reforms, including offering the citizenship to Rome's Italian allies. The failure of these reforms, and Drusus' subsequent murder at the hands of an unknown assassin in late 91 BC, are often seen as an immediate cause of the Social War.[1] Early life Marcus Livius Drusus was born in ca. 124 BC.[2] He was the son of Cornelia (whose precise identity is unknown) and Marcus Livius Drusus the Elder, a distinguished statesman who had served all the major magistracies of the cursus honorum as tribune in 122 BC, consul in 112 BC, and censor in 109 BC. Drusus the Elder died in 108 BC: if the younger Marcus was the eldest son, he would now have become the pater familias of the Drusi and the provider for his two siblings, Mamercus and Livia.[3] However, certain scholars believe that Mamercus was in fact the eldest son,[1] Marcus one or two years his junior.[4][5] Cicero reports that Drusus was a principled and conscientious youth.[6] When serving as quaestor in Asia Minor, he conspicuously refused to wear his official insignia as a sign of respect.[7] After the death of his father, Drusus inherited vast amounts of wealth, with which he paid for grand gladiatorial shows during his aedileship.[2] His generosity was famous in antiquity: he once commented that he spent so much money on other people that he had 'nothing left to give away to anybody but mud and air'.[8] Drusus also built a grand new house on the Palatine Hill, telling the architect to build it so that all his fellow-citizens could see everything he did. This famous house was later owned by Cicero, Censorinus, and Rutilius Sisenna.[9] Drusus had several distinguished descendants. Through his adopted son, he became an ancestor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty; and through the two marriages of his sister, Livia, he was uncle to Cato the Younger and great-uncle to Marcus Junius Brutus. His brother, Mamercus Aemilius Lepidus Livianus (who was adopted into the Aemilii Lepidi), also served as consul in 77 BC. At some point ca. 100 BC, Drusus married Servilia, a sister of his friend Quintus Servilius Caepio. However, they appear to have divorced sometime around the year 97 BC without having any known children.[78] It seems that Drusus did not marry again before his death in 91 BC.[79] However there is a Livia of the late Roman Republic whom has been speculated to be Drusus daughter.[80] Imperial descendants Drusus did adopt Marcus Livius Drusus Claudianus, born Appius Claudius Pulcher. This adopted son married Alfidia, with whom he had a daughter named Livia. This Livia was the famous Empress, the wife to the emperor Augustus and mother of the second emperor Tiberius. Therefore, through the adoption of his son, Marcus Livius Drusus and his family (the Drusi) became eventual ancestors to the imperial Julio-Claudian dynasty.[81] Nieces and nephews[edit] Drusus had a sister, Livia, whom he married to his friend and brother-in-law Quintus Servilius Caepio. Livia and Caepio had three children: the famous Servilia, who was sequentially the mistress of Julius Caesar and the mother of Marcus Junius Brutus; another Servilia, who married the general Lucullus; and a son, also called Gnaeus Servilius Caepio.[82] However, Drusus and Caepio fell out, allegedly over the sale of a ring at an auction, and subsequently they became personal enemies.[83] As a result, Drusus divorced Servilia, and Caepio divorced Livia. Drusus apparently had his sister remarried almost immediately, either in 97 or 96 BC,[84] this time to Marcus Porcius Cato, the grandson of Cato the Elder. Livia and Cato had a son, Marcus Porcius Cato Uticensis, who was to become the famous opponent of Julius Caesar; they also had a daughter, Porcia, who married Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus. However, both Livia and Cato seem to have died in the mid to late 90s BC, meaning that Servilia, Cato, and Porcia were all raised in Drusus' house before his own death in 91 BC.[85]

- LifeSketch: Wikiwand Nero Claudius Drusus Germanicus (January 14, 38 BC – summer of 9 BC), born Decimus Claudius Drusus,[also called Drusus Claudius Nero, Drusus, Drusus I, Nero Drusus, or Drusus the Elder was a Roman politician and military commander. He was a patrician Claudian on his birth father's side but his maternal grandmother was from a plebeian family. He was the son of Livia Drusilla and the legal stepson of her second husband, the Emperor Augustus. He was also brother of the Emperor Tiberius, father to both the Emperor Claudius and general Germanicus, paternal grandfather of the Emperor Caligula, and maternal great-grandfather of the Emperor Nero. He launched the first major Roman campaigns across the Rhine and began the conquest of Germania, becoming the first Roman general to reach the Weser and Elbe rivers. In 12 BC, Drusus led a successful campaign into Germania, subjugating the Sicambri. Later that year he led a naval expedition against Germanic tribes along the North Sea coast, conquering the Batavi and the Frisii, and defeating the Chauci near the mouth of the Weser. In 11 BC, he conquered the Usipetes and the Marsi, extending Roman control to the Upper Weser. In 10 BC, he launched a campaign against the Chatti and the resurgent Sicambri, subjugating both. The following year, while serving as consul, he conquered the Mattiaci and defeated the Marcomanni and the Cherusci, the latter near the Elbe. However, Drusus died later that year, depriving Rome of one of its best generals. Childhood Drusus was the youngest son of Livia Drusilla from her marriage to Tiberius Claudius Nero, who was legally declared his father before the couple divorced. Drusus was born between mid-March and mid-April 38 BC, three months after Livia married Augustus on 17 January. Gerhard Radke has proposed the date of March 28 as his most likely birthday, while Lindsay Powell interprets Ovid's Fasti as indicating a date of 13 January. Rumors arose that Augustus was the child's real father, although this has never been authoritatively proven. Claudius, however, encouraged the rumor during his reign as emperor to create an impression of more direct lineage from Augustus. According to Suetonius, Drusus was originally given "Decimus" as his praenomen, the first of a Roman male's conventional three names in Roman naming practice at the time. Nero was a traditional cognomen (third name) of the Claudii, whereas Drusus was given to a branch of the "gens Livia." Using a cognomen such as Nero as a first name was unusual, as was the prominence given to his maternal lineage in adopting Drusus as his cognomen. Drusus was raised in Claudius Nero's house with his brother, the future emperor Tiberius, until his legal father's death. The two brothers developed a famously close relationship that would last the rest of their lives. Tiberius named his eldest son after his brother, and Drusus did likewise, although eldest sons were usually named after their father or grandfather. Marriage Drusus married Antonia Minor, the daughter of Mark Antony and Augustus' sister, Octavia Minor, and gained a reputation of being completely faithful to her. Their children were Germanicus, Claudius, a daughter named Livilla ('little Livia'), and at least two others who did not survive infancy. After Drusus' death, Antonia never remarried, though she outlived him by nearly five decades. Three emperors were direct descendants of Drusus: his son Claudius, his grandson Caligula, and his great-grandson Nero. Drusus was returning from his advance to the Elbe when he fell from his horse,[39] lingering on for a month after the accident, by which point Tiberius had joined him. Shortly before his death he wrote a letter to Tiberius complaining about the style in which Augustus ruled.[citation needed] Suetonius reports that he had refused to return to Rome just before his death. Drusus' body was brought back to the city, and his ashes were deposited in the Mausoleum of Augustus. He remained extremely popular with the legionaries, who erected a monument (the Drususstein) in Mogontiacum (modern Mainz) on his behalf. Remnants of this are still standing.

- LifeSketch: Nero Claudius Drusus Germanicus (born 38 BC—died 9 BC), younger brother of Tiberius (who later became emperor), and commander of the Roman forces that occupied the German territory between the Rhine and Elbe rivers from 12 to 9 BC. Drusus was born shortly after the divorce of his mother, Livia Drusilla, from Tiberius Claudius Nero; she immediately married Octavian (later Augustus), who was suspected of being Drusus’ real father. Like his brother, Drusus was allowed to seek office five years before the legally specified age. He became praetor (magistrate) in 11 and consul in 9. With Tiberius, he fought against two Alpine tribes (the Raeti and Vindelici), and in 13, he was made governor of the three Gauls. In this office, he carried out an important census and erected the altar of Augustus at Lugdunum (now Lyon).

- LifeSketch: Personal Note this profile was destroyed and had to be rebuilt from scratch. Not only that had to reload the doomsday images etc. I created this profile and any suggestion that anything here is incorrect is incorrect. Doomsday Book Entry: ROBERT [* OF HERILS *] HOLDS FROM HIM. In a confirmation of Edward II to Lenton Priory, which includes what purports to be William Peverel's original charter (Monasticon Anglicanum, v. p. 111 no. I; see 10,24 William's note), but which includes gifts that were perhaps made subsequently, a certain Geoffrey de Heriz gave two-thirds of the lordship tithes in Stapleford. This probably implies that the 1086 holder was Robert de Heriz, who has also been identified in Derbyshire; see VCH Nottinghamshire, i. p. 229. Robert de Heriz himself gave two-thirds of the tithes of Hesburna (unidentified) and Ossecropht (Oxcroft in Bolsover, Derbyshire) to Lenton Priory. His place of origin was Hérils, said to lie in the French commune of Maison, in the canton of Trévières, in the département of Calvados; see Keats-Rohan, Domesday People, pp. 376-77. - LifeSketch: ↑ The identity of Ranulf's mother is contested, and possible contenders are two daughters of Louis I 'the Pious' (and this granddaughters of Charlemagne): d'Aquitaine and Rotrude d'Aquitaine.[citation needed] Stated in the below book , it Adeltrude de Maine marries Ranulf not her sister Bilechilde. Her sister, Bilechilde marries Bernard II also a Count of Poitiers. Their father is Rorgon I, Count of Maine. supported by Wikipedia article. Régine Le Jan, Famille et pouvoir dans le monde franc: (VIIe-Xe siècle) (Publications de la Sorbonne, Paris, 2003), p. 445 ↑ Ranulf was the cousin of the Counts of Maine and not his wife. He proposes that the mother of Ranulf was a woman of the Counts of Maine (Settipani, n.d.)[citation needed] Wikipedia: Ranulf I of Aquitaine (stub); *FR; *DE http://fjaunais.free.fr/h0maine.htm Cawley, Charles. "Medieval Lands": A prosopography of medieval European noble and royal families © by Charles Cawley, hosted by Foundation for Medieval Genealogy (FMG). See also WikiTree's source page for MedLands. Research Notes Long & often contradictory ... He married ?? (possibly Adaltrude, daughter of Rorgon I of Maine and Rothrude. See below.) He may have been married more than once. classic hypothesis[citation needed] Otto-Gerhart Oexle slightly corrected this genealogy by recalling that no text named the mother of Ramnulf II, nor is there any indication that Bilichilde remarried Bernard Poitevin after Ranulf's death. The wife of Ramnulf I might instead have been a sister Bilichilde [16], perhaps by the name of Adaltrude [17]. hypothesis of Settipani [citation needed] -- structure poses several problems: 1. date of birth of Ramnulf I: If by his mother he is grandson of Pepin I of Aquitaine and Raingarde, he can hardly have been born before 838, when his mother would have been at least fifteen years old. This birthday makes improbable the nomination of Ramnulf as Count of Poitiers in 839 (according to Ademar of Chabannes) or even 854: it does not name a nobleman of sixteen years of age at the head of a county particularly vulnerable to incursions from Vikings. Some historians have considered 'gener' to be translated in the sense of "brother", but more context militates in favor of the meaning of "son". The conclusion of Settipani is to say that Ramnulf I comes from a first marriage of Gerard d'Auvergne [18]. 2. The marriage between Ramnulf I and a daughter of Count Rorgon I of Maine creates between Ramnulf and Raino / Ragenold a link of kinship by marriage which does not correspond to the different meanings of 'consanguineus'. Settipani (n.d.), concludes that Ramnulf is the cousin of the counts of Maine, and not his wife or by marriage. ... proposes the mother of Ramnulf as a woman from the counts of Maine. Latin "nepos" means "nephew", but can also mean "grand-son" or "nephew". According to the latter, the mother of Ramnulf would be daughter of Rorgon I and Rothrude rather than Bilichilde, for chronological reasons [19]. He proposed the name Adaltrude [17]. Finally, the reconstruction does not include the link of kinship between Ramnulf II and William the Pious. The proposed Christien Settipani is to see the mother of Ramnulf II as an aunt of William the Pious. He assumes a paternal aunt to explain the transmission of the first name of William, although that name already exists in the family in the brother of Gerard of Auvergne [20].

- Title Of Nobility: Count of Maine/Comte de Maine
- Nickname: The Huntsman
- LifeSketch: He was the son of Roger, Count of Maine, and Rothilde, daughter of Charles the Bald. He succeeded his father c. 900. By a marriage of his sister Judith to Hugh the Great sometime before 917, Hugh became an ally to the Robertians ending a long period of hostility between them. Around 922, King Charles the Simple withdrew the benefit of the Abbey of Chelles from Rotilde, Hughʻs mother and Hugh the Greatʻs mother-in-law, to entrust it to a favorite of his, Hagano. The favoritism shown Hagano caused a great deal of resentment and led, in part, to a revolt against Charles the Simple that placed Robert I of France on the throne. Even after the death of his sister when Hugh the Great married a second time he remained an adherent of the Robertians. geni.com Count Hugues, I, Comte du Mainete du Maine Birthdate: circa 890 Birthplace: Pays de la Loire, France Death: circa March 26, 931 (32-49) Poitou-Charentes, Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes, France Immediate Family: Son of Roger du Maine, Comte du Maine and Rothilde of the Franks Husband of Bihildis wife of Hugues I du Maine Father of David or Hugues du Maine Brother of Judith du Maine Half brother of Richilde de Vermandois
