Descendants of Hulda spouse of Isaiah ben AMOZ
1 Hulda spouse of Isaiah ben AMOZ
=Isaiah ben AMOZ
- Father: Amoz ben Amaziah HA-DAVID
- Birth: 765 BC, Jerusalem, Israel
- Also known as: Isaiah the Prophet
- Also known as: Yeshayahu ben Amoz
- Also known as: Isaiah ישעיהו
- Tribe Name: Judah
- LifeSketch: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hephzibah https://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/7668-hezekiah Prophet Isaiah or Yeshayahu. He wrote what was probably the greatest Jewish prophecies ever written. He is the most quoted of all the prophets, being more frequently quoted by Jesus, Paul, Peter, and John (in his Revelation) than any other Old Testament prophet. Isaiah is also quoted frequently by the Book of Mormon prophet Nephi. The writings of Isaiah deal with events of his day as well as events beyond his time, some of which have already come to pass and others are yet to be. [Most] of Isaiah’s prophecies deal with the coming of the Redeemer, all three comings. As one understands Isaiah more, he/she more fully comprehends the mission of the Savior and the meaning of the covenant that was placed upon Abraham.

- Title Of Nobility: Duke Of Swabia
- Clan Name: House of Udalrichings
- LifeSketch: Gerold was a member of the Frankish imperial aristocracy- Parents are unknown POSSIBLE are Agilolf/Egilolf und Heriswinda Count Gerold linked himself through a clever marriage policy with a family that held a special position of power in Alemannia in the first half of the 8th century. He was of Frankish descent. Together with his wife Imma, he gave 784 rich estates in the Worms, Lobden, Anglach, Uff and Krainachgau to the Lorsch monastery. The goods were mainly located between Worms and Oppenheim and between Heidelberg and Bruchsal. The district of Gerolds included the Kraichgau and Anglachgau. He already advanced into Alemannia. From 779 to 783 he exercised count functions in the northern part of the Westbaar. Perhaps he also bought property in Alsace. However, his rights in Alemannia are certainly not exclusively due to his marriage to Imma. Certainly, like many other Frankish greats, imperial power made it easier for him to penetrate the Alemannic area. Count Gerold died shortly after 784. His daughter married King Charlemagne in 771. He was married by 758 Imma, Tochter des Alemannenherzogs Hnabi (Nebi) Kinder: . Gerold der Jüngere (Gerold II.), Begründer der Geroldonen, Markgraf der Awarenmark und Präfekt von Bayern . Udalrich I. - LifeSketch: Æthelstan Half-King (fl. 932 – 956) was an important and influential Ealdorman of East Anglia who interacted with five kings of England, including his adopted son Edgar the Peaceful. Many of Æthelstan's close relatives were also involved in important affairs, but soon after the death of king Eadred in 955, he left his position and became a monk at Glastonbury Abbey. Origins [excerpt] Æthelstan was the son of Æthelfrith an Ealdorman, who held lands in Somerset, Berkshire, and Middlesex. His mother was Æthelgyth, daughter of Æthelwulf. His brothers Ælfstan, Æthelwald, and Eadric, were Ealdormen of Mercia, of Kent, and of Wessex, respectively. Family Æthelstan's children included: 1. Æthelwald (died c. 962), Ealdorman of Essex 2. Ælfwald, called dux in charters 3. Æthelwig, Ealdorman 4. Æthelsige, became king Edgar's chamberlain (died c.986) 5. - LifeSketch: Æthelwald (died 962) was ealdorman of East Anglia. He is mentioned in Byrhtferth's life of Oswald of Worcester along with other members of his family. He was probably the oldest son of Æthelstan Half-King and succeeded to some of his father's offices in 956 when Æthelstan became a monk at Glastonbury Abbey. He was a benefactor of Ramsey Abbey and a supporter of the Benedictine reform movement which began in the reign of King Edgar. He was the first husband of Ælfthryth who married King Edgar after Æthelwald's death. William of Malmesbury's Gesta regum anglorum has a late account of Æthelwald's marriage and death. According to William, the beauty of Ordgar's daughter Ælfthryth was reported to King Edgar. Edgar, looking for a Queen, sent Æthelwald to see Ælfthryth, ordering him "to offer her marriage [to Edgar] if her beauty were really equal to report." When she turned out to be just as beautiful as was said, Æthelwald married her himself and reported back to Edgar that she was quite unsuitable. Edgar was eventually told of this deception, and decided to repay Æthelwald's betrayal in like manner. He said that he would visit the poor woman, which alarmed Æthelwald. He asked Ælfthryth to make herself as unattractive as possible for the king's visit, but she did the opposite. Edgar, quite besotted with her, killed Æthelwald during a hunt. Edward Augustus Freeman debunks the Æthelwald murder story as a "tissue of romance" in his Historic essays,[1] but his arguments were in turn refuted by the naturalist William Henry Hudson in his 1920 book Dead Man's Plack and an Old Thorn.[2] Æthelwald was seemingly dead by 962 as he ceases to witness charters at that time. He was buried at Ramsey Abbey. His younger brother Æthelwine succeeded to his offices. A memorial to Æthelwald, known as the Dead Man's Plack, was erected in Longparish, Hampshire in 1825. - Also known as: Aethelstan , King of Wessex & Kent
- Also known as: Ethelstan
- Also known as: Æðelstan
- FOSTERED BY AUNT ÆTHELFLAED IN MERCIA: It is believed that after the death of his mother and his fathers remarriage, Æthelstan went to live in Mercia, where his Aunt Æthelflæd and Uncle Æthelred continued his royal education. It appears that he looked upon them as loving parents and made a 'pact of paternal piety' with Æthelred.
- SIGNIFICANT ROYAL GIFT FROM ALFRED: Alfred the Great honoured his young grandson Æthelstan with a ceremony in which he gave him a scarlet cloak, a belt set with gems, and a sword with a gilded scabbard. Scholars interpret this as Alfred's endorsement of Æthelstan as his successor instead of Edward.
- SUCCEEDED EDWARD THE ELDER TO BECOME KING OF ENGLAND: Upon the death of his father King Edward on 17 July 924, Æthelstan became King of England, it is believed he was first acknowledged as king by Mercia., 17 JUL 924, Farndon, Cheshire, Mercia, England

- GAINED CONTROL OF ALL BRITAIN: On July 12 927 the kings of Northumbria accepted Æthelstan's overlordship and he achieved lordship over ALL of Britain: Cornwall,Wessex, Mercia, East-Anglia, Wales, York and Northumbria., 12 JUL 927, Eamont, Penryth, Cumbria, England
- Ruled: Wessex and Mercia, BET 924 AND 939, England
- BATTLE OF BRUNANBURH: Considered one of the most significant battles of the whole of the British Isles, the Battle of Brunanburh was fought in 937 between Æthelstan, King of England, and an alliance of Olaf Guthfrithson, King of Dublin; Constantine II, King of Scotland, and Owain, King of Strathclyde., 937, Brunanburh, England

- LifeSketch: Æthelstan or Athelstan (/ˈæθəlstæn/; Old English: Æþelstan[a] or Æðelstān;[b] Old Norse: Aðalsteinn meaning "noble stone"; c. 894 – 27 October 939) was King of the Anglo-Saxons from 924 to 927 and King of the English from 927 to 939 when he died.[c] He was the son of King Edward the Elder and his first wife, Ecgwynn. Modern historians regard him as the first King of England and one of the greatest Anglo-Saxon kings. He never married and had no children. He was succeeded by his half-brother, Edmund. When Edward died in July 924, Æthelstan was accepted by the Mercians as king. His half-brother Ælfweard may have been recognised as king in Wessex, but died within three weeks of their father's death. Æthelstan encountered resistance in Wessex for several months, and was not crowned until September 925. In 927 he conquered the last remaining Viking kingdom, York, making him the first Anglo-Saxon ruler of the whole of England. In 934 he invaded Scotland and forced Constantine II to submit to him, but Æthelstan's rule was resented by the Scots and Vikings, and in 937 they invaded England. Æthelstan defeated them at the Battle of Brunanburh, a victory which gave him great prestige both in the British Isles and on the Continent. After his death in 939 the Vikings seized back control of York, and it was not finally reconquered until 954. Æthelstan centralised government; he increased control over the production of charters and summoned leading figures from distant areas to his councils. These meetings were also attended by rulers from outside his territory, especially Welsh kings, who thus acknowledged his overlordship. More legal texts survive from his reign than from any other 10th-century English king. They show his concern about widespread robberies, and the threat they posed to social order. His legal reforms built on those of his grandfather, Alfred the Great. Æthelstan was one of the most pious West Saxon kings, and was known for collecting relics and founding churches. His household was the centre of English learning during his reign, and it laid the foundation for the Benedictine monastic reform later in the century. No other West Saxon king played as important a role in European politics as Æthelstan, and he arranged the marriages of several of his sisters to continental rulers. - AGREEMENT AT SWINBEORG: Æthelred and Alfred agreed that whichever of them outlived the other would inherit the personal property that King Æthelwulf had left jointly to his sons in his will. The deceased's sons would receive only whatever property and riches their father had settled upon them. The unstated premise was that the surviving brother would be king., 871, Swinbeorg, Wessex

Then in 1110 Alfred's body was interred before the high altar at Hyde Abbey, also in Winchester. The bodies of Alfred's wife and children were also moved., 1110, Hyde Abbey, Hampshire, England
- FIRST ENGLISH MONARCH: Alfred styled himself King of the Anglo-Saxons from about 886, and while he was not the first king to claim to rule all of the English, his rule represents the start of the first unbroken line of kings to rule the whole of England, the House of Wessex
- LifeSketch: "Alfred the Great was King of Wessex from 871 to ca. 886, and King of the Anglo-Saxons from ca. 886 to 899. He was the youngest son of King Æthelwulf of Wessex and his first wife Osburh, daughter of Oslac" "Alfred was born in the royal estate of Wantage, historically in Berkshire but now in Oxfordshire, between 847 and 849. He was the youngest of six children, five sons and a daughter, born to King Æthelwulf of Wessex by his first wife, Osburh." Asser, who was Alfred's court biographer and knew Alfred personally, states in his biography of Alfred that he was born in 849 at Wantage. "In 868, Alfred married Ealhswith, daughter of Æthelred Mucel and Eadburh. They had five children: - Æthelflæd - Edward - Æthelgifu - Æthelweard - Ælfthryth Alfred the Great (848/49 – 26 October 899) was king of the West Saxons from 871 to c. 886 and king of the Anglo-Saxons from c. 886 to 899 [therefore king in total from 871 to his death in 899; 28 years]. He was the youngest son of King Æthelwulf, who died when Alfred was young. Three of Alfred's brothers, Æthelbald, Æthelberht and Æthelred, reigned in turn before him. After ascending the throne, Alfred spent several years fighting Viking invasions. He won a decisive victory in the Battle of Edington in 878 and made an agreement with the Vikings, creating what was known as the Danelaw in the North of England. Alfred also oversaw the conversion of Viking leader Guthrum to Christianity. He defended his kingdom against the Viking attempt at conquest, becoming the dominant ruler in England. Details of his life are described in a work by 9th-century Welsh scholar and bishop Asser. In his section on Alfred's upbringing, Asser describes how he was not taught to read until he was 12, but subsequently developed a love of books and learning. Alfred had a reputation as a learned and merciful man of a gracious and level-headed nature who encouraged education, proposing that primary education be conducted in Old English rather than Latin and improving the legal system and military structure and his people's quality of life. He was given the epithet "the Great" in the 16th century. During his lifetime he was known as "King Alfred" as documented by Asser. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_the_Great

- Mother: Caesonia Manilla
- Birth: 294
- Occupation: Praefectus Urbi, 335, Roma, Italy, Roman Empire
- Occupation: Consul of Rome, 334, Roma, Italy, Roman Empire
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia Amnius Manius Caesonius Nicomachus Anicius Paulinus signo Honorius (simplified as Amnius Anicius Paulinus; fl. 334–335) was a politician of the Roman Empire. Biography Paulinus probably was the son of Amnius Anicius Julianus, consul in 322, and the nephew of Sextus Anicius Paulinus, consul in 325. He was thus a member of the gens Anicia. Paulinus was consul in 334 and praefectus urbi of Rome in 334–335. In 334 he erected an equestrian statue to emperor Constantine I in the Roman Forum;[1] a statue was dedicated to him in the Forum of Trajan, whose inscription celebrates Paulinus for "his high birth, his eloquence, his fairness, and his good judgment, for which he is renowned in private and in public".[2] Family Christian Settipani[3] has tried to reconstruct Paulinus' familial bonds. According to Settipani, Paulinus was married to Pincia (born c. 305) or, better, to Auchenia. His wife was perhaps the daughter of Pincius (b. c. 280 and c.v. in the beginning of the 4th century) and wife Caeionia (b. 285 or 290), in turn perhaps the daughter of (Marcus) Caeionius Proculus, suffect consul of Rome in 289, and wife Alfenia Juliana. They were perhaps the parents of Anicius Auchenius Bassus, praefectus urbi of Rome in 382.

- Father: Petronius Maximus DI ANICII
- Mother: Eparchia Avita AGRICOLA DE NARBONNE
- Birth: 422, Roman Empire
- Also known as: Palladius Caesar
- Title Of Nobility: Caesar of the Roman Empire - under Petronius Maximus
- LifeSketch: Wikipedia Palladius (c. 415/425 – May 455) was caesar of the Western Roman Empire for two months in 455, together with his father Petronius Maximus. He was born between 415 and 425 AD and may have held the position of Praetorian Prefect during the 450's. After his father, Petronius Maximus, assassinated Emperor Valentinian III and seized power, Palladius was elevated to caesar. He was married to Eudocia, to add to the legitimacy of his father's rule, however this broke the treaty made by Valentinian III and the Vandal king Genseric, in which they arranged the marriage of Eudocia to Huneric, Genseric's son. The Vandals invaded and sacked Rome, which led Petronius Maximus and Palladius to flee on 31 May 455, however, they were caught by a mob of peasants and killed, either by the mob themselves or palace servants. History Palladius was born between 415 and 425 AD, to Petronius Maximus. His father, Maximus, was an extremely wealthy senator, who was twice consul. He had held numerous public offices under Emperors Honorius and Valentinian III. According to Mommaerts and Kelley, his mother was Eparchia, sister of Avitus. Palladius may have been a Praetorian Prefect at some point during the 450's. Maximus became the Western Roman Emperor on 17 March 455, after assassinating Valentinian III. Palladius was then elevated to caesar, or designated heir, by Maximus, although no coins were struck bearing his image. Maximus married the wife and daughter of Valentinian III, members of the imperial Theodosian dynasty, into his family to establish legitimacy. Maximus married Licinia Eudoxia, and Palladius married Eudocia, the daughter of Valentinian III. The marriages violated the terms of a treaty made between Valentinian III and Genseric, the king of the Vandals, wherein they had arranged the marriage of Eudocia to Huneric, the son of Genseric. Genseric then assembled a fleet to lead an expedition to Rome. Maximus' failure to make any preparations led the nobles to flee the city of Rome en masse, however, the peasants were not allowed to leave without governmental permission. As the Vandal fleet approached Rome, Maximus gave the order that any person wishing to flee could do so. On May 31 Maximus and Palladius attempted to flee the city of Rome, however, they were stopped by a mob of peasants. There are two accounts of this event. The first is that the palace servants killed both, probably to try to win the favor of the rioting peasants. The second is that they were struck by stones while on horseback, and torn apart. Very little is recorded of Maximus and Palladius' shared rule. Ferdinand Gregorovius says that the marriages of Maximus and Palladius, and the elevation of Palladius to caesar were the only two significant actions of their c. 77 day reign. The sole contemporary historian who discusses the life of Palladius is Hydatius.

- LifeSketch: Fulk I of Anjou (c. 870-942) Foulques le Roux (French, "Fulk the Red", i.e., "Red Falcon") held the county of Anjou first as Viscount, then Count, until his death. «b»Life«/b» Born about c. 870,Fulk was the son of Ingelger of Anjou and Adelais of Amboise. He was the first count of Anjou ruling the county from c. 908 to 942. In 899 he became Viscount of Tours and in 905, Count of Tours. About 900-918 he was Count of Nantes. He increased his territory as a viscountcy of Angers and, around 929, he claimed the title count of Anjou. During his lordship, he was frequently at war with the Normans and the Bretons. He occupied the county of Nantes in 907, but abandoned it to the Bretons in 919. Fulk I died around 942. «b»Family«/b» Fulk married Roscille de Loches, daughter of Warnerius (Widone), Seigneur de Loches, de Villentrois, & de la Haye, and his wife Tecandra. «b»He and Roscille had:«/b» 1.) Ingelger (bef. 927). 2.) Guy (Wido), Bishop of Soissons (970). 3.) Fulk II. Succeeded his father as Count of Anjou. «b»More Information«/b» «b»Biography Name and Titles«/b» Fulk I of Anjou He was called the Red. Foulques I "le Reux" (Fulk the Red, Fulco Rufus) Viscount of Angers, before 898-931×940. Count of Anjou, 931×940 (or 929)-after 941. Count of Nantes, 907×9-914×9. Viscount of Tours, before 905-before 909. Abbot of Saint-Aubin d'Angers and Saint-Lézin, before 924-after 941. «b»870 Birth«/b» Foulques' date and place of birth is unknown. Baldwin notes that "an estimate of 870 or a little earlier should not be far off, given his long career." Foulques' father was Ingelger. "The name of Foulques's father is confirmed by a charter of 929, but nothing else is known about him." No facts are confirmed for his mother. There is legendary ancestry associated with both. Fulk I of Anjou was born about 870. He was the son of viscount Ingelger of Angers and Resinde "Aelinde" D'Amboise. «b»Legendary Ancestry«/b» Although the 929 charter mentioned above confirms that the father of Foulques was named Ingelger, contemporary records tell us nothing further about this Ingelger, or about other ancestors of Fulk. A history of the counts of Anjou compiled in the twelfth century, Gesta Consulum Andegavorum, purports to give an account of the ancestors of Foulques.....Another rescension of the Gesta Consulum Andegavorum claims to give more details about how Ingelger obtained his lands. It tells of an elder Ingelger who married Adèle, daughter and heiress of "consul" Geoffroy of Gâtinais, and who obtained Gâtinais as a result of this marriage. After the death of this elder Ingelger, his widow is falsely accused of adultery and murder by a certain Guntrannus, parens (i.e., relative) of her husband, and her godson, Ingelger, son of Torquatius (an obvious error for Tertullus), defends her by fighting Guntrannus in single combat, as a result of which the younger Ingelger receives her lands. This fanciful story illustrates the extent to which legend and romance has crept into the tale. Given the contemporary evidence which shows the gradual rise of Foulques, first without title, then as viscount, finally as count, most scholars have rejected the legendary account of Foulques's ancestors in Gesta Consulum Andegavorum. «b»Possible mother: «/b» Aelendis, niece of Regino, bishop of Angers, and of Adalard, bishop of Tours. Supposed grandfather (probably mythical): Tertullus. Supposed grandmother (probably mythical): Petronilla, consanguinea of Hugues "the Abbot", d. 886. Supposed great-grandfather (probably mythical): Torquatius alias Tortulfus. «b»Marriage to Roscille«/b» Foulques married Roscille, the daughter of Garnier (Warnerius) and Tescende. Roscille died after 929. "In the seventh year of king Raoul, Fulco (Foulques), his wife Roscilla, and his sons Widdo (Gui) and Fulco, gave a donation to Saint-Aubin d'Angers for the benefit of his soul and the souls of his father (genitor) Ingelgerius, his son Ingelgerius, his father-in-law Warnerius and the latter's wife Tescenda." He married Rosalie de Loches. It could be noted that Gesta Consulum Andegavorum does correctly identify the parentage of Foulques's wife Roscille, and that bishops Regino and Adalard are known to have been brothers. «b»886 Witness to Charter«/b» Foulques (Fulco) first appears as a witness to a charter of count (later king) Eudes, abbot of of Saint Martin de Tours, in April 886. «b»898 First Appearance as Viscount«/b» He first appears with the title of viscount in a charter of viscount Hardrad of Tours on 29 September 898 He was the first count of Anjou from 898 to 941. He increased the territory of the viscounty of Angers and it became a county around 930. During his reign he was permanently at war with the Normans and the Bretons. «b»907 Occupation of Nantes«/b» He occupied the county of Nantes in 907, but abandoned it to the Bretons in 919. «b»914 Count of Nantes«/b» As shown by Werner, this use of the comital title by Foulques comes from a brief period when he was count of Nantes, confirmed by the appearance of Foulques as count of Nantes and viscount of Angers in a charter of count (later king) Robert, abbot of Saint-Martin de Tours, dated 31 March 914 and by the statement of the Chronicle of Nantes that Foulques ("Fulco Ruffus") had possessed Nantes. Foulques had apparently obtained the countship of Nantes between 907 (the death of Alain le Grand) and 30 October 909, and lost it before 919. «b»924 Abbott«/b» "He appears as abbot and viscount in a charter of a certain Fulculf dated 13 August 924...and calls himself count of the Angevins and abbot of Saint-Aubin d'Angers and Saint-Lézin in a charter of 929. «b»941 Death«/b» Foulques was still living in August 941, when he signed a charter along with his son Foulques. Foulques I died after 13 August 941 when he and his son both witnessed a charter. Baldwin notes "given his long career, he probably did not live long after 941. Place of Death unknown. He died around 942 and was succeeded by his son Fulk II. «b»Issue«/b» 1.) Ingelger d. before 929 (probably 927). 2.) Guy or Gui d' Anjou d. between 966 and 985, canon of Saint-Martin de Tours; bishop of Soissons, 937-966×985. He became bishop of Soissons in 937 in succession to Abbo. Gui was still living in 966, as a charter of Geoffroy I (son of Foulques II) mentions Geoffroy's avunculus bishop Widdo. 3.) Foulques (Anjou) d'Anjou. Foulques II "le Bon", d. after 958, count of Anjou, after 941-after 958, m. Gerberge. «b»Others currently Linked«/b» 1.) Roscille (Anjou) Bretagne. In addition to the legendary ancestry of Foulques, some sources provide him with an additional child: Supposed child (doubtful): Roscille, m. Alain Barbetorte, d. 952, count of Vannes, duke of Brittany....There is some confusion here "possibly related to the fact that Foulques II married the widow of Alain Barbetorte. 2.) Adele (Anjou) de Vexin. "Conjectured additional daughter (more probably a granddaughter): Adèle, m. Gautier I, count of Valois, Vexin, and Amiens. Gautier I of Valois/Vexin/Amiens and his wife Adèle had children Gautier II, Gui (bishop of Soissons), Raoul, Geoffroy, and Foulques." Baldwin notes factors suggesting that Adele was in the family of the counts of Anjou, but "it is chronologically more probable that Adèle was a daughter of Foulques II, a relationship which would also more easily explain the appearance of the name Geoffroy among the sons of Gautier I and Adèle." ___________________________________________________ https://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ANJOU,%20MAINE.htm#FoulquesIdied941 "Foulques I and Roscille de Loches had five children: Ingelger d'Anjou, Guy d'Anjou, Foulques II d'Anjou, Roscille d'Anjou, and [possibly] Adela d'Anjou." https://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/FRANKISH%20NOBILITY.htm#RoscilleMFoulquesIAnjou
