- Birth: 23 SEP 63 BC, Ox Head, Palatine Hill, Rome, Roman Republic
- Also known as: Augustus
- Also known as: Caesar Augustus Roman Emperor
- Title Of Nobility: Emperor of the Roman Empire - (40 years)
- Family: Gens Julia, Gens Claudia, Julio-Claudian family tree: Dynasty: Julio-Claudian
- Regnal name: Imperator Caesar Divi Filius Augustus: (Date and Place unknown)
- LifeSketch: Augustus was the son of Gaius Octavius and the adoptive son of Julius Caesar. Spouse : Claudia (42–40 BC; divorce) Scribonia (40–38 BC; divorce) Livia (37 BC–AD 14; his death) Issue : Julia the Elder Gaius Caesar (adopted) Lucius Caesar (adopted) Agrippa Postumus (adopted) Tiberius (adopted) Augustus, British Museum, London 'Augustus' Gaius Julius Octavius (63 BC - AD 14) The future emperor Augustus was born into an equestrian family as Gaius Octavius at Rome on 23 September 63 BC. His father, Gaius Octavius, was the first in the family to become a senator, but died when Octavian was only four. It was his mother who had the more distinguished connection. She was the daughter of Julia, sister to Julius Caesar. He was of short stature, handsome and well proportioned and he possessed that commodity so rare in rulers - grace. Though he suffered from bad teeth and was generally of feeble health. His body was covered in spots and he had many birthmarks scattered over his chest and belly. As for his character it is said that he was cruel when young, but became mild later on. This, however, might just be because, as his position became more secure, the need for brutality lessened. For he was still prepared to be ruthless when necessary. He was tolerant of criticism, possessed a good sense of humour, and had a particular fondness for playing dice, but often provided his guests with money to place bets. Although unfaithful to his wife Livia Drusilla, he remained deeply devoted to her. His public moral attitudes were strict (he had been appointed pontifex (priest) at the age of fifteen or sixteen) and he exiled his daughter and his grand-daughter, both named Julia, for offending against these principles. http://www.roman-empire.net/emperors/augustus.html

Trór (THOR) GOD OF ASGARD
- Father: Uther Pendragon KING
- Mother: Eigr Ygerna Ferch Amlawdd of the CELTS
- Birth: 507, Tintagel Castle, Cornwall, England,
- Also known as: Bedwyr of the Perfect Sinew
- Also known as: Bedwyr, Bédoier Bedrydant
- LifeSketch: Bedivere is one of the earliest characters to be featured in the legend of King Arthur, originally appearing in several Welsh texts as the one-handed great warrior named Bedwyr Bedrydant. In the French-inspired Matter of Britain, based on his portrayal in the Historia Regum Britanniae, Bedivere is described as being the Knight of the Round Table of King Arthur who serves as Arthur's marshal and eventually returns Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake. There, he is frequently associated with his brother Lucan and his cousin Griflet, as well as with Kay. In early Welsh sources, Bedwyr Bedrydant ("Bedwyr of the Perfect Sinew") is a handsome, one-handed warrior under Arthur's command. His father is given as Pedrawd or Bedrawd, and his children as Amhren and Eneuawg, both members of Arthur's court. One of the earliest direct references to Bedwyr can be found in the 10th-century poem Pa gur which recounts the exploits of a number of Arthur's men, including Bedwyr, Cei (Kay) and Manawydan. Of Bedwyr, this narrative says: They fell by the hundred / before Bedwyr of the Perfect-Sinew. On the shores of Tryfrwyd / fighting with Garwlwyd / furious was his nature / with sword and shield. The 9th-century version of Englynion y Beddau ("The Stanzas of the Graves") gives Bedwyr's final resting place on Tryfan. In the hagiography of Cadoc, Bedwyr is alongside Arthur and Cei in dealing with King Gwynllyw of Gwynllwg's abduction of Gwladys from her father's court in Brycheiniog. A possible allusion to Bedwyr could be found in the reference to Bedwyr's well in the 9th-century Marwnad Cadwallon ap Cadfan. The Welsh Triads name Bedwyr as "Battle-Diademed", and a superior to Drystan (Tristan), Hueil mab Caw and even Cei. A catchphrase often quipped by Cei, "by the hand of my friend" is likely a reference to Bedwyr's disability. Bedwyr is a prominent character in the tale of Culhwch and Olwen, in which he appears at the head of Arthur's court list with his friend Cei and is described as one of the most handsome men in the world (save for Arthur and Drych fab Cibddar), and the wielder of a magic lance. He is called upon to accompany Culhwch on his quest to win Olwen's hand in marriage and is the first to strike the giant Ysbaddaden with the poisoned spear meant for Culhwch. Bedwyr goes on to assist Culhwch in completing the impossible tasks given to him by Ysbaddaden; he helps Cei and Goreu fab Custennin kill Wrnach the Giant, rescues Mabon ap Modron from his imprisonment, retrieves the hairs of Dillus the Bearded, captures the Cauldron of Diwrnach during Arthur's raid on Ireland, and takes part in the hunting of the monstrous boar Twrch Trwyth with Arthur's dog Cavall at his side.[6] The tale ends with the completion of the tasks, the humiliation and death of Ysbaddaden, and the marriage of Culhwch and Olwen. Bedivere is one of Arthur's loyal allies in Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae and maintains this position in much later Arthurian literature. He helps Arthur and Kay fight the Giant of Mont Saint-Michel, and joins Arthur in his war against Emperor Lucius of Rome, in which he dies fighting. In Thomas Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur, 'Bedwyr' (as he is initially known) plays a similar role against the Giant, before disappearing from the text to return rather ingloriously as Sir Bedivere to accompany Arthur at his end. In the original French romances, the later role belonged to his cousin, Griflet. In several English versions of Arthur's death, including Malory's, the Alliterative Morte Arthure and the Stanzaic Morte Arthur, Bedivere and Arthur are among the few survivors of the Battle of Camlann (or of Salisbury). After the battle, at the request of the mortally wounded king, Bedivere casts away the sword Excalibur that Arthur had received from the Lady of the Lake. However, he does this only after twice thinking the sword too valuable to Britain to throw into the water. When he reports that nothing in particular happened, King Arthur admonishes him, for Arthur knows that the mystical sword would create some supernatural event. Finally, Bedivere casts the sword into the water, at which a hand arises and catches the sword mid-air, then sinks into the waters, and Arthur is thus assured that the sword has been returned. In Malory's telling, this act summons Morgan and Nimue, who take the king to Avalon. Upon the presumed death of Arthur, Bedivere enters a hermitage led by the Mordred-ousted Archbishop of Canterbury, where he spends the remainder of his life. There he will be joined by Lancelot and some of his kindred knights, who will resort to it in their own penitence.

- Birth: Cappadocia, L'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy
- LifeSketch: Glaphyra was a hetaera, a form of courtesan, who lived in the 1st century BC. Glaphyra was famed and celebrated in antiquity for her beauty, charm and seductiveness. Her marriage to Archelaus the elder of Cappadocia gave her political power. Her later affair with Mark Antony occasioned a vulgar poem from Octavian Caesar (see below *Warning, bad language). Glaphyra was a Greek woman from Cappadocia from obscure origins. Glaphyra had married a Cappadocian Greek nobleman called Archelaus, the High Priest Ruler of the temple state of Comana, Cappadocia. Archelaus was the High Priest of the Roman Goddess of War, Bellona. Through her marriage to Archelaus, Glaphyra became a ruler of the temple state. Archelaus' father of the same name had descended from King Mithridates VI of Pontus. Glaphyra bore Archelaus two sons: . Archelaus Sisines, also known as King Archelaus of Cappadocia who reigned from 36 BC until his death in 17 AD . Sisines In 47 BC the Roman Dictator Gaius Julius Caesar after the conclusion of his military victory against the Triumvir Pompey, deprived and deposed Archelaus of his office of high priest and rule over Comana. Archelaus was replaced by another Greek nobleman called Lycomedes. Pompey was their family patron and it was he who appointed his father as High Priest Ruler of the temple state of Comana. Sometime later Archelaus died at an unknown date. After the death of Archelaus, Glaphyra remained in Cappadocia with her sons. Glaphyra could be seen as the widow of the dynasty of Comana. Years later, Glaphyra became one of the mistresses to the Roman Triumvir Mark Antony. Through her efforts, Glaphyra had influenced and induced Antony to designate and install her first son as King of Cappadocia. In 36 BC, Antony removed and executed Ariarathes X of Cappadocia from his throne and installed Archelaus as the successor of Ariarathes X. Glaphyra appeared to be a powerful lady at the Royal Court and was involved in internal politics in Cappadocia. Her powerful influence can be demonstrated by contemporary invective about the time of the Perusine War in 41 BC, by certain frank and famous verses which Triumvir Octavian composed about Antony. Antony had fallen in love with her. Octavian wrote a vulgar squib about the affair, referring to Antony's wife Fulvia: "Because Antony fucks Glaphyra, Fulvia has arranged this punishment for me: that I fuck her too. That I fuck Fulvia? What if Manius begged me to bugger him? Would I? I don't think so, if I were sane. 'Either fuck or let's fight,' she says. Doesn't she know my prick is dearer to me than life itself? Let the trumpets blare!" Original Latin: Quod futuit Glaphyran Antonius, hanc mihi poenam Fulvia constituit, se quoque uti futuam. Fulvia ego ut futuam? Quid si me Manius oret pedicem, faciam? Non puto, si sapiam. "Aut futue, aut pugnemus" ait. Quid quod mihi vita carior est ipsa mentula? Signa canant! *Wikipedia

The abbacy may have been held by Áed (called Hugo or Eggu and other Latinised forms), son of Gille Míchéil,[2] but the abbacy is first attested when Áed's son Orm is confirmed in possession of it by King William of Scotland in the 1170s, in condition for making concessions favorable to the King's new monastic establishment at Arbroath Abbey.[3] The title of Abbot disappears in the sources during the abbacy of Laurence, with the title of dominus predominating: Orm de Abernethy (fl. 1170s) Laurence de Abernethy (fl. 1190s) Hugh de Abernethy (d. 1291) Alexander de Abernethy (d. c. 1315) Following the death of Alexander Abernethy, the title passed to his daughter Margaret who married John Stewart of Bonkyll, who assumed the title, as well as being granted the forfeited Earldom of Angus. ******************** Our royal, titled, noble and commoner ancestors Sir Hugh Abernethy, Lord Abernethy1 Last Edited 4 Apr 2020 M, #3547, d. before 9 February 1293 Father Laurence de Abernethy1 d. b 1244 Sir Hugh Abernethy, Lord Abernethy married Mary de Ergadia, daughter of Ewen of Argyll, King of the Isles, 3rd Laird of Dunollie & Lorn, before 1275; They had 2 sons (Patrick; & Sir Alexander).1 Sir Hugh Abernethy, Lord Abernethy died before 9 February 1293.1 Family Mary de Ergadia d. b 10 Oct 1303 Children Sir Alexander de Abernethy+ d. bt 1315 - 1317 (Miss) Abernethy+2 b. c 1279

- Mother: Unknown Spouse of Macduff DE ABERNETHY
- Birth: 1195, Abernethy, Fifeshire, Scotland
- Also known as: Laurence D'Abernethy Hereditary Abbot of Abernethy
- LifeSketch: Wikitree- Biography The Laurence Abernethy, represented on this Profile, is the son of Orm Abernethy, Lay Abbot of the Culdee Monastery at Abernethy, in the Earldom of Strathearn. This line of Abernethy, later Lord Saltoun, is discussed by Sir James Balfour Paul, The Scots Peerage, Volume 7, between pages 396 and 416. Laurence de Abernethy starting page 398.[1] While Sir James Balfour Paul suggests his lineage is obscure, it is defined within a Charter[2], dated to between 1160 and 1172, where Orm is stated to be the father of Laurence and the son of Aed (Hugh/Hugo), son of Aed (Hugh/Hugo), son of Gillemichel earl of Fife (d. c. 1135). This line were the hereditary lay abbots of the Culdee monastery of Abernethy, in Strathearn (later Fife and now Perth and Kinross).[3] This Laurence was the last to hold the office of Lay Abbot of Abernethy, as he quitclaimed his right, but later held the lands of the Monastery as Lord. Lay Abbots were, not necessarily religious, appointed to manage the estates of, in this case, the Monastery. The Abernethy family had assumed heritable rights some time prior to 1150 but gave them up c. 1190. The implications of this Charter indicate that both Orm and Laurence, this Profile, were alive, although Laurence may not have been of age, at the time of the Charter. Points of Conjecture In his work, "The peerage of Scotland: containing an historical and genealogical account of the nobility of that kingdom...", Sir Robert Douglas provides [4] that Orm had a son, Laurence, later lord Abernethy, that married a daughter of Henry Rule of Balmerino, who made a donation of the patronage of the church of Abernethy to the monastery of Arbroath; and legated to the canons regular of St. Andrews ten shillings yearly, payable out of his lands of Bambreich, with consent of Sir Patrick Abernethy his son and heir. He is noticed in a Charter providing "to Laurence, son of Orme, son of Hugh, etc" mentioned prior. However, The Scots Peerage, by Sir James Balfour Paul, suggests that he married a Devorguile. His name and that of his wife Devorguile are recorded as visitors to the shrine of St. Cuthbert at Durham early in the thirteenth century, but it is not known who she was. [5] Sir James Balfour Paul, who uses Douglas as source, must have noticed this but makes no mention. He also notices a William, son of Orm, as a witness to a charter to the Abbey of Arbroath between 1204 and 1211; William must have been a brother to Laurence. It is difficult to date the birth and marriage events. However it is known that Hugh, the second son, was likely of age in 1233 when he receives a grant of the lands of Oxton and Lyleston, Lauderdale. [6] Known Events There is a Charter, dated to c. 1190, where Laurence, as the son of Orm, quitclaims, to Arbroath Abbey, in perpetuity, all right which he had, or which he could claim, to the advowson of the church of Abernethy. The céli De of Abernethy, clearly still in existence at this point, were granted the other half of the teinds. This Charter provides that he gives his rights to the demesne lands of Abernethy, including Mugdrum, Carpow, Balehyrewell, Balecolly and Innernethy to the céli De of Abernethy.[7] It is, at this point, he gives up any hereditary right to the Monastery of Abernethy and, it also appears, any property rights to Abernethy. He does not appear to hold title at this point but is later noticed as Lord of Inverarty. On the 15 May 1222, King Alexander II grants to Laurence, son of Orm, the forest of Dunlappie (in Angus).[8] This Charter indicates that these lands were held by Orm to both King Malcolm and King William, stated as father to Alexander, thus held to the Crown c. 1150. There is a Charter of Confirmation, by King Alexander II, to Laurence, son of Orm, son of Hugh to the lands of Glenduckie (in Fife) and Balmeadie (in Fife). This Charter is dated 5 April 1223. Around the same time, Laurence, Lord of Inverarity, son of Orm (of Abernethy), resolves a dispute regarding lands in Angus.[9] In 1237 he appears, as Laurence of Abernethy, in the discussions between Scotland and Cardinal Otto, the papal legate, in regards to the Treaty of York.[10] Around 1240 there is a Charter where Laurence of Abernethy, with the wish and consent of his son and heir, Patrick, provides a grant to the St Andrews Priory from the rents of his manor at Ballinbreich (in Fife). [11] For this the Priory quitclaimed to him all right that they had in a toft, 4 acres of land, and a fishery in his villa of Ballinbreich by gift of his mother. This Charter is interesting as it indicates that his eldest son, Patrick, was of age but that Laurence held the titles and rights. It also provides that parts of Ballinbriech was provided to the Priory by his mother and thus it may be possible to trace. In 1244 he is noticed in the work by Matthew Paris[12] as being witness to an agreement between Alexander II. and Henry III.. This must reflect the Treaty of Newcastle signed that year. Late in his life, Laurence lived as a secular Baron at Kerpal (Carpow, now in Perth and Kinross, then in Fife), the old mansion of the lords of Abernethy and is thought to have lived to an old age. Sir James Balfour Paul suggests he died shortly after 1244, [13] however his eldest son, Patrick, died before him and he is known to have died in 1254. Thus wikitree has estimated he died c. 1260. Family It has been asserted that Balfour Paul was correct and that he married a lady by the name of Devorgilla. They had a number of children: [14] Patrick de Abernethy; styled "son and heir" in the charter to the Canons of St. Andrews above mentioned. Very little is known about him, and he perhaps died vita patris; at all events he was dead before 1254. Hugh de Abernethy, who will inherit. William de Abernethy, who will later acquire the lands of Saltoun in the East Lothians and become the ancestors to Lord Saltoun. Possibly Henry de Abernethy; who appears on the chart record in 1260. Marjory de Abernethy; she married to Hugh, eldest son of Sir William of Douglas, "Longleg". The marriage-contract, dated Palm Sunday 1259, is still in existence in the form of an indenture between Sir Hugh de Abernethy, the brother of the bride, and Sir William de Douglas. Sir William Eraser, who gives a facsimile of the deed, says it is the oldest marriage-contract which has appeared in the history of any Scottish family. Marjory Abernethy is believed to have been buried in St. Bride's Church, Douglas, where a sculptured effigy in the extreme south-west angle of the church is still pointed out as hers.
